My nephew turned 15 last month asked his dad for a shaver. Well, he doesn't have anything to shave! Do most boys have enough facial hair to shave at 15!?! What age do most boys start to shave?

Actually my 13 year old son (almost 14) inherited his dad's old electric razor, and he uses it every few months! He has very blond peach fuzz on his face, but to him, it's important to "shave" it off!

I would ask your brother/brother in law to consider his request. While you adults may not see anything worth shaving at the moment, to a teenager who is contantly looking in the mirror (at least MINE are!), there may be quite a bit there. Especially if he's 15.

Good luck!

My son also asked for a razor last year at age 14. Although it did not look like he needed to he had a fair amount of blond hair on his face that bothered him. He shaves every day but never has a five o'clock shadow.

My poor sons. They will be 17 at the end of the summer and not really any peach fuzz.

I would suggest that might be a good thing! It's funny how when guys get into their late teen/20s they HATE shaving. (which usually results in a beard, or mustache.)

tricia.

DS, 15, really needed to shave this year. It's the Italian blood.

This is so true.

I hate shaving :( Been doing it since 14. It lost its cool factor a long time ago

My son started shaving this year, he's 16. He mainly has these scraggly sideburns, he needs to keep them shaved for school.

My DS started when he was 15.

We gave our son an electric when he was 16. He needs to clean up the sideburns area and upper lip every other week or so--and he'll be 18 next week. The rest is peach fuzz :)

My DS started when he was 15, just a little touch-up here and there at that age for most boys!

Boy I wish I could have "waited" I had to start shaving at 12! and It really lost all of its magic after 14 so just be happy that they don't have to go through all this before everyone else their age.

My son just starting shaving last year at the ripe old age of 19..
It is not that he didn't need to shave, he could have started at 13 or 14. He just was too lazy.
He had a full beard that was curling underneath his chin. :p
He needed to clean up a bit for his nursing course so he had to shave some (never has totally shaved his face yet) to neaten his beard and trimmed his waist length hair to shoulder length.

DS started at 15, after much prodding to clean up ! Being fair of skin, and white hair when a baby (he looked bald until 2 1/2) he still has very light brown hair, but was starting to look "ragged".
DH had (and I mean had) very thick hair, and still has very thick whiskers, that he keeps in a trimmed beard, so I guess he inherited it from him.
Older DS.........I don't think he shaves much, or very often, and he is 31!! (just a few scraggly hairs here and there):earseek:

My Ds started shaving at 13. He just turned 14 and he has to shave twice a week now.

My eldest is almost 16 & has bum fluff on his chin. Not shaving yet, but by Christmas I think he will be, so looks like it will be an Electric Shaver for him for Christmas this year.:D
