What is the best way to get someone who is having trouble walking to the Magic Kingdom for dinner? We are staying at the Swan. Dad has been a trooper but the walking is hard on him.

Do we drive? Take the bus? Are there courtesy wheelchairs anywhere near the bus stop. Plan on renting a chair at the park.

I would take a bus from the Swan to MK for your dinner and just rent a wheelchair at guest relations.

Ive never heard of courtesy wheelchairs anywhere.

I think taking the bus would be the easiest. I think he would have to walk to the park entrance, though. I did one time see a courtesy wheelchair in the Epcot parking lot, but I have never seen one at a bus stop. I know that the Beach Club used to have courtesy wheelchairs, but I think they have gotten rid of them. You could ask if the Swan has one that you could use then you wouldn't have to rent one at MK.

If you have hoppers you could take the boat from the Swan to the Epcot IG and see if you could rent a wheelchair there. I don't know where the rental is at Epcot. Then you could just take the monorail to the MK. This would be more walking for everyone else in your party but your dad would only have to walk from the Epcot boat to the IG. But check and make sure you can even rent a wheelchair there before you try this one.

Good luck! I hope you all have a great dinner. :)

How many more days are you there? You might rent one from an offsite company that delivers. That way he doesn't have to walk to the rental spot.

There are definitely courtesy wheelchairs to get you to the entrance. However, there aren't a lot of them, and people tend to leave them here and there when they have used them, so you may have to send someone off to find one and bring it back to the bus stop. They are blue and have a blue flag on them.

You can rent wheelchairs in each park make sure you keep your receipt to get your deposit back. When leaving a park after turning in the wheelchair you rented ask for a courtesy wheelchair to get you to the bus stop. You can leave the wheelchair there.
