My eldest ds is taking his driving test to get his license!! I so hope he passes. he was so excited today!!

Good luck to Josh!!

Our twins take their permit tests on Monday-is still can't figure out how they got old enough to drive-they should only be 6.

Actually, it's Josh. Benji's not quite old enough yet!! Thanks for the wishes!!

Sorry LoriAnn, I dont know why I always keep thinking its Benji, and then Josh. Oh well, please forgive me, and has Josh entered any video or art contests lately? He really has an amazing talent!

DD's test took all of 4 minutes, has he called with the news yet... (or if you are with him, did he come around the corner yet?)

Really, that is actually kind of scary, what can they possibly test in 4 minutes? The test here takes about 20 minute to drive the course but they spend about 10 minutes reviewing where things are in the car before they start driving. Heck, just the parallel parking part takes most kids more than 4 minutes :lmao:.

Sorry I haven't updated!! He PASSED! Of course he didn't do real well with Parallel parking, but everything else was perfect.

Woohoo! Congratulations! For some reason my son and his friends are in no big hurry to get their licenses?:confused3 I was at the DMV on my birthday ready to test.

That is becoming more and more common. Most of DS17's friends don't have their licenses and it is starting to cause problems with summer jobs and going off to college. If DS didn't need to get back and forth to his Japanese class every day, I don't think he would have his either. DD, on the other hand, has started a countdown to when she can get her license-she doesn't even get her permit until Monday (providing she passes the test :lmao:) and won't be eligible for a license until March 2011. DS15 isn't all that thrilled with the prospect of driving either but he has always been timid with new things.

We actually held off a few months with Josh. He just wasn't ready maturity and responsibility wise when he first turned 16. Now, he's totally ready. Thank goodness.
