Hi from the Fort. We checked in today behind the storm. Lots of standing water. We are in 2046 and the fort feels full. Lots of tent campers in 1500 & 2000. Set up, bought groceries, ate dinner, and enjoying some tv and the DIS. If you are here come by and say hello. More updates will follow.:woohoo:

Here is an update for Wednesday April 6.

Simply put, today is a beautiful day. This is why this time of year is a peak, expensive time. Lazt night was cool 55f and we heard lots of fireworks, music in the distance, boat whistles, and more all evening. In the early morning I went for a sunrise walk around the fort. After breakfast it was time for the day's activities.

Day one of a fort stay is usually going over to the premier outlet mall along 535 just on the other side of i4. I only hit the disney store there and got 2 shirts and few odds and ends. Then on the way back we stopped at Downtown Disney and sbopped for souvenirs for folks at home at the big World of Disney store and the Christmas store. Ate lunch at the Earl of Sandwich - got the Original - and it was good and a decent value.

Then back to the fort andgot on my bike for some exploring. At creekside meadow group site right behind us Disney set up about 20 of their rental tents. They are approx 10x12 with a vinyl waterproof floor. About 6.5 ct tall inside the center.

Next it was over to the Walking Trail between the fort and WL. It was pretty like an outdoor cathedral.

Down at Pioneer Hall and the marina boats were coming and going while the Settlement Trading Post was getting a new roof.

Finally over in the 1500 loop five wild turkies were wandering thru the area. I got a pix of the one in the sun.

Hpyhiker,

Greetings from a fellow 205'er. We should all be jealous of your 9 days at Christmas. The decorations both of the fort and camper sites are something else. You will love it. Thanks for the shout out.

Ed, Thanks for the pics from the Fort. Hope you are having a great time. How are the crowds at the park?

Please, If you have a chance- keep the pictures comming- I would love to see anything people have setup with Tarps hung over their sites or tents? And especially Tent pictures, I would buy you a Beer / Cold drink if you are around in June;)
Take care!!!!

Thanks Bama_Ed. We PUP owners too and I have only really thought of the 1500 loop having stayed in 1400 our only trip. I just wondered what others thought about the 2000 loop. Most don't seem to like it as much.

Hope you continue to get great weather.

We have a pup. I personally like 2000 loop, stayed at 2053. I would only want to be on the outside/right side of the loop though. I've never stayed in the 1500. We usually stay in 1600 with the occassional 1700 or 200 stay.
