Here is an update for Wednesday April 6.
Simply put, today is a beautiful day. This is why this time of year is a peak, expensive time. Lazt night was cool 55f and we heard lots of fireworks, music in the distance, boat whistles, and more all evening. In the early morning I went for a sunrise walk around the fort. After breakfast it was time for the day's activities.
Day one of a fort stay is usually going over to the premier outlet mall along 535 just on the other side of i4. I only hit the
disney store there and got 2 shirts and few odds and ends. Then on the way back we stopped at Downtown Disney and sbopped for souvenirs for folks at home at the big World of Disney store and the Christmas store. Ate lunch at the Earl of Sandwich - got the Original - and it was good and a decent value.
Then back to the fort andgot on my bike for some exploring. At creekside meadow group site right behind us Disney set up about 20 of their rental tents. They are approx 10x12 with a vinyl waterproof floor. About 6.5 ct tall inside the center.
Next it was over to the Walking Trail between the fort and WL. It was pretty like an outdoor cathedral.
Down at Pioneer Hall and the marina boats were coming and going while the Settlement Trading Post was getting a new roof.
Finally over in the 1500 loop five wild turkies were wandering thru the area. I got a pix of the one in the sun.
Stay tuned. More to come. Now for a beer, some peanuts, and watch the Masters par 3 tournament on tv.
