Yes, it is awesome. No matter which park we are at on any particular day, I always want to go hop to the Magic Kingdom to see Tinkerbell fly.

I read somewhere on here a few years ago that she makes $1200 per jump.

Per our tour guide (Doug) last week (11/10) Tinkerbell is currently a girl. But there have been Tinkerbills as he called them. They are paid a full days wages for aprox 1hr of work. If you ask a castmember(while in the park) what that cable running to the castle is, they will tell you that is Cinderella's TV cable.

Watching Tink fly has always amazed me. Very brave CMS. They deserve more for what they do. And as anoher said, yes sometimes Tink is not a "her". It's a very difficult job.
