At Saratoga now

Hello,
I am at SSR right now. Big thunderstorm going on outside! So much for Fantasmic plans for tonight! We just arrived today, so I haven't formed any opinions yet. I got a mug and am making good use of it. It is just a plain mug that says DVC with Minnie and Mickey, not specifically Saratoga Springs.
I swam in the Main Pool, it has a nice zero entry, but I saw a lot of people slipping and falling.
We are in a studio on the second floor of the Springs building. It seems to be bigger that the studios and WLV. We will move the AKL for the weekend. Questions?More later!

Gosh, is it really that crowded right now?! We're heading down on Saturday for 2 weeks. We usually go later in August, but our AP's expire on the 18th so we're heading down earlier this year. I knew the first week would be more crowded than we're used to, but I was hoping it wouldn't be crazy.

Is it crowded at opening? That's usually when we go to the parks.

Don't you just love the computer age? I find these "I'm there now" threads very exciting. It sort of makes me feel like I'm there as well. I do appreciate the up-to-the-minute updates, but I hope you don't update us so much that you sacrifice getting out there and having fun. Have a great time at SSR.

Our one August trip was very rainy (sorry) and this thread brought back those memories. Just throw on that poncho and plan on getting wet!

A previos thread had a cm commenting on a possible "racetrack themed" pool. I think it might be built in the newest section under construction. If you have the chance to ask a cm to about the rumor, it would be appreciated. I hope you are having better weather today. My DW and I will be @ SSR in May, 06. My DM(76yo) will be joining us in a 1br. DM's first trip to WDW!
