At odds with DH over stroller

I say: get it yourself and bring it. As for which one, well, I'm grappling with that myself for my own 5-yr-old so I don't have the answer. Tell him you can leave it at the resort the first day and see how it goes but, if you need it, you'll have it there for the rest of the trip. Does he really wnat to be driving all over Kissimmee to get a stroller or paying the $15/day to rent one? Even if you buy the Maclaren, you can probably ebay it or craigslist it after your trip for 2/3 of what you paid which will still be far less than the cost of renting from Disney!

If you are doing two strollers, rent a car, because there's no way you can wrangle two strollers and two sleeping kids and a pregnant mom with just one more adult to handle everything on the buses at WDW! You could all end up having to stand, or waiting for the next bus to get a seat.

Snickerboo (love the name!), I have been trying to make that point!!

Schmeck, that's what grandparents are for! :)

Finally, I just told him that his choices were the Chicco or the Maclaren. That's it, and I didn't want to hear anything else from him!!

your dh is nuts and I would tell him that, if you aren't getting a stroller, he is doing all of the carrying that you aren't lifting a finger in that regard.

This is exactly what I was thinking while reading this post! If he's so against the stroller, HE can carry the kids when they are sound asleep and weigh twice their normal weight!!:thumbsup2

Glad to know you'll have those extra sets of hands! Aren't grandparents the best invention in the world? My mom loves to treat her granddaughters to trips to WDW, and she takes me and hubby along as well, bless her!

Do they still sell the red & black umbrella strollers in the parks? Last time we were there, they were selling them for about $40. They reclined and had a canopy. If they're still selling these, you could just buy one if/when your DD needed it.

I emailed Disney about this and got an emphatic NO they do not sell strollers in WDW, only rentals, and that there is only one website that is for official Disney information. It was a pretty abrupt email if you ask me. But, anyway, they do not sell those strollers anymore would be my guess!

You are not nuts, you know your kids.I was thinking a stroller too, but she never ever uses one at home.So I pretty much pulled the tough love thing on my dd( she is 4)I had her walking laps with me after dinner months before our trip, and told her we would sit if she was tired but no stroller and no carrying her.She walked the entire trip with No whining .I did pick her up for rides with moving belts (like Hm ,buzz lightyear etc) but she walked, and somedays up till 10 hrs of park touring in the Sept heat.

Yes they do.I saw them at the shop at the international gateway 2 weeks ago, I think they were over $40 now, but they were there. They are Kolcraft strollers.
