At Lighthouse Key now!

Hi! My Family and I arrived on Saturday. Check in was fast and efficient no surprises. We are in a 4 bedroom. It is very beautifully decorated and new. Layout is also very spacious and provides for privacy. All looks just like pictures on trip advisor. We have a rental car and the drive to the parks has been easy. I keep forgetting to time the drives except last night after epcot closing it took 16 min from parking lot to parking lot. The other drives home after park closing seemed shorter. We haven't used the shuttle provided by the hotel. We have had daily housekeeping no extra charge and they have done a nice job. The place seems pretty quite. Hardly anyone in the pool but my kids but the weather has been cool. The pool is kept pretty warm according to my kids. i know there has been some interest regarding this place on the boards so if you have questions ask away I'll try to check in later today.

I made our reservations quite a while ago when the prices were lower so I'm afraid I can't help you with that.

I was curious about the spa - will you be going there? I saw that it is run by the same company that manages the Saratoga Springs spa and the Grand Floridian Spa, but the prices at Lighthouse Key are alot lower. Could you give any information you know about it? Thanks!

I'm not sure if you're still there, but we're currently booked there for February and we're having a get-together one night and I was wondering if they had dishes that would be suitable for platters/trays of food?

Also, are there elevators for higher floors? Are you close to your neighbours? Is there anything you wish you'd brought?

Hi! We just got home a couple hours ago. I love my home but I still wish I was in Florida. Its very cold here.

Ms. Belle, I sorry I did not use any spa services so I can not give you any info on that.


Suprgrlx, There are elevators. It is set up so you enter thru a gated entry and then check in at a building right near the gate house. The building contains front desk, conceirge, theatre, game room including 2 pool tables, spa, pool, sundries and small deli shop. Then right next to this building are 2 buildings 5 stories tall with the different units. I believe they are 2,3 and 4 bedroom units. From what I could tell each has its own nice sized patio. I really never heard any neighbors. It never seemed very busy. My kids had the pool to themselves most of the time. Although this morning when we left the parking lot was full. If you would like a better view ask for a unit facing the lake or at the back of the buildings. You can tell they plan on making more buildings but no construction was going on while we were there.
The deli was pretty small. It is called the Beacon Deli. There are 2 different Publix grocery stores very close so we bought our groceries and stocked the refrigerator. From what I remember there were only maybe 2- 3 salad selections, and maybe 4-5 meat selections. I can tell you on our arrival our friends surprised us with a beautiful fresh fruit basket and a platter of cookies from the deli. They were beautifully made up and the cookies were so good!!! I may have put a brochure about the deli in my stuff if I find it I'll give you more details later.
