I got a lot done yesterday so I'll just spot clean what I took care of today... keep it manageable..


Todays must:


1. must cut tags for autographs (about 1/2 done)
2. photograph clipboards I made for kids
3. journal on pages from I did last Friday so I can count them in my May total tomorrow done
4. done
5. scrapbook
6. dishes done
7. DS7's soccer game done
8. dinner done

that's it... taking it easy today since I did so much yesterday!!!

I actually went out and mowed the yard for DH today... one less thing to do this weekend.. off to get cleaned up before the kids get home~! Also, great news.. they found someone to take of presidency @ my school..so now I get to be advisor and not lead! Woo hoo! Rock on! Especially since I was only keeping it to get a body in there since I don't have a child at the school after May 29th...

our school is celebrating our 50th Anniversary. yep, up until 50 years ago we still used 1 room schoolhouses. We have a replica room complete with vintage desks, ink wells, the whole nine yards. We are also getting one of the remaining original school houses and having it moved to the new school grounds. It will be restored and used by the teachers.

Good morning, everyone!! It's THURSDAY!

I have not done well at my lists this week, so maybe today will be better.

Here's my list:

1. Work--last full day of school (tomorrow is just a 2-hour day). I start working summer school next Tuesday, but I'm still celebrating tomorrow!!--DONE
2. Nap--DONE
3. Empty dishwasher--DONE
4. Clean--kitchen, living room, DH's bathroom--partially done
5. Put up stuff that's in the bedroom floor--partially done
6. Gather clothes and stuff so DH can get my bathroom ready to paint, and I won't have to use it
7. Fix birthday cards to mail
8. Muffins and bacon for dinner--DONE
9. Go to bed early--DONE

Pack the sack lunches for today.
Stay all day with over 100 kindergardeners for field day. Both morning & afternoon classes are together for this one. not.
Play with the Wii FIT when I get home before Eldest does and I don't see it again.

Thanks for the reminder.. need to have camera ready for DH and DS7 for their zoo field trip tomorrow.. they get to see the new koala exhibit.. I'm sad I don't...but I have to get other things taken care of ... and DH and I split who attends the field trips.. this year I went early so he took the end of school ones... at least next year all 4 of the big kids no longer go on trips...so DH and I may attend together next year!!!

Good morning everyone. I was actually very productive yesterday so lets try this again.

Work (already here but I'm spending most of the day working on details for my trip next week )
meet lady to pick up gift for SIL and BIL (they found out Tuesday they are having a boy due late Oct. Noah and his cousin will be very close in age)
pick up Noah
Stamping meeting tonight
continue to print pictures for crop on Saturday

That should fill up my day.

I get do it again on Tuesday with the fourth graders. Apparently nobody volunteered to help out. Just me.
I've got a headache, I'm exhausted and I've got home work.
I am so going to be early.

Oh, and the Wii FIT, my little bit swiped it before I could. He's doing the strength training. AND he's really good.

most of the schools still stand, in fact our post office is one of them, but a lot of them have been added on etc. The original owner of my house was a teacher at the one on my end of town and it is now the house of the former PTO pres, but they have added on over the years.

Yep, no winter break here. They get a week in the Spring and days scattered throughout the year. We started later than normal this past year-the last week in August. We usually start early to mid August and get out the last part of May. We aren't going too much later than normal, just seems weird getting out in June.

Our students come back August 6th for next year--I go back July 20th (as long as SIOLB hasn't made his grand entrance yet!!). We get a few scattered days off in the year--and we haven't had more than 2 snow days each year for the last 6 years or so. We get a week off in Oct for Fall Break, about 10 days off in Dec for Christmas, the kids get 2 days off in Feb for President's Day (one is tchr inservice), and then we get a week off in the Spring for Spring Break. Next year, the students finish the Friday before Memorial Day, and we finish the Tuesday after. We get lots of complaining b/c we start so early, but by the time we get to Fall Break, I wouldn't trade my Fall Break to start a week later for anything!!

yup it's the winter break that takes us that much longer. and this year they started a week later because of construction of the high school they pushed all schools back a week. it was good then, but now everyone in town is crabbing about it! it just seems so late this year. and i'm more anxious this year because i go on summer hours once schools out......tapping my foot......waiting.......
