I survived the sugar test! I was up pretty much all night last night b/c I was so worried that I wouldn't be able to drink that stuff (how ridiculous is that??). It actually wasn't bad at all--or maybe I was just relieved that it was nowhere near what I was expecting!! They gave me the bottle of stuff and told me that I had 5 minutes to drink it--and then they wanted to take my blood pressure at the same time that I had just started drinking the stuff. Needless to say, my blood pressure (which is normally low) was 166 over 90. The nurse about freaked!! They ended up having me lie down after the visit and checked it again, and it had dropped to 122 over 80, so all was well!

I saw the nurse practitioner for my visit right after drinking the stuff, and everything is good. SIOLB did his "trick" that he's been practicing for the past 2 months--as soon as they bring out the Doppler thingy to hear the heartbeat, he moves to the location of the scanner-thing and kicks it off of my stomach. This seems to entertain both him and them!! ;) She did say that I am measuring at 29 instead of the 27 weeks and 4 days that we are. So I have an appointment on the 30th (my reg appt) and they're going to do an ultrasound then to weigh him. After that, and depending on what it says, they'll just keep an eye on it until we can make delivery decisions.

I did get amused while waiting for the blood-drawing part. We had to watch 2 videos--pre-term labor and epidurals. Then, they gave us a stack of paperwork. The first page was the one about the 36-week visit (the class thing), and then the 2nd one was all of the available methods of birth control. I know that they have to do that so you have a plan and don't get pregnant again right away after the birth of this one, but I kept thinking, "Ok, that ship has sailed!!" :rotfl2:

I should know something in 2 days about the test. Fingers crossed that I don't have to do the other one!!! :thumbsup2

so glad to hear it went well. i'll keep my fingers crossed that you passed. so SIOLB likes to play games already! typical boy!!! i bet you just can't wait to see his beautiful face! you are so very very lucky!

I am glad it went well! Yeah, the drink isn't as bad as they make it seem. It's taking the blood that gets me. :scared1: I have a tendency to faint or throw up.

Glad your test went ok. I too had to take the 3hr test (I know you ladies are saying 4 but mine was 3) and it wasn't too bad. I took all the supplies to make my thank you cards and sat in there waiting room and made cards. The nurse in there kept saying I could leave but I said nope I'm good.

Noah was measuring big with about a month and a half to go. We did the lets just watch him for a couple weeks to see what he does and all he did was get bigger. I gained alot of weight my last month or so instead of leveling off. Anyway that was when he suggested the c-section and after Noah came out at 10 lbs 7oz I'm so glad thats what I did. Just send me a Pm if you have any specific questions I'll be glad to answer since I just went through this.

Ok now onto my list. This is late since my server here at work keeps cutting out on us and drivin gus crazy. Anyway.

work (almost done)
pick up Noah
dinner
clean out Noahs to small things
See what all we have for Florida in two weeks and decide what else needs to be bought
Try on my swimsuits and see if any will work for the trip (I'm down to my pre-pregnancy weight but everything seems to be in different areas still. LOL)
Decide on hotel for first night stop on the way down and book hotel
