Sort through/reorganize cross stitch stash to make room for scrapbooking stash!!

Today:

Kids are off school.

1. inspect house thoroughly for damage (5:38AM we were awake by the tremors from the earthquake in SE ILL about 120 miles from us.. the beds shook for about 35 seconds)done, will make a second eval due to the aftershock of 4.4 about 11:14am... what a wild day..great scrapbooking page.. I'm gonna have my kids write down what the felt and their thoughts...done for second time.. nothing noted
2. Dishes Done
3. grocery store done w/ DS11 in tow.. he hasn't left my side most of the day..
4. make beds done

WOW!! An earthquake was felt in Indiana. Does that happen often?

We felt nothing here.

The epi-center was about 120 miles from us... Yes, we have felt several earthquakes.. There was one about 2001-2002 that was mild but the epi-center was closer to us... about a 30 minute drive from here.. This one was bigger 5.2 magnitude...and it lasted about 30-45 seconds... it was odd because I was asleep but stirring..and the bed shook..stopped and than started again.. I heard DS7 make a run for it... toward DD's room..and of course I bolted out of my room to check on the kids... DD and DS7 were together and they both looked at me like what's the plan mom! DS11 slept through it.. DsS called DH on his drive to work and is mad because he didn't feel it..

About 20 years ago we had another one but I didn't feel it...because I was driving.. my parents were all freaked out because they knew I was driving home and didn't know how I would react.. I reacted fine.. nothing happened..

There is some damage in Louisville, KY they think is related to this.. The top facade of a building crashed to the ground...

Oh yes, there is a fault line or two in Indiana.. Let me check the names for ya!

It's the Wabash Valley Fault System...

wow nancy that's something. good thing it wasn't closer.
hope everyone in that area is safe.

i don't know how i'd react.

Thanks PO3.. We are fine... I'll check for damage but I doubt that there is any since we were so far away from the epi-center.. It was just odd on a non-school day (built in sn** day) to have the kids up and movin' by 5:38AM!

Deb, lots of prayers and pixie dust still coming your way!!

Nancy--I saw the earthquake on the news this morning, and I worried about you all! I'm glad everything is ok!!

Here's my Friday list:

1. Work
2. Nap--I did something to my back last night, and it is not feeling great today!
3. Hobby Lobby, Goody's, and Grocery with DH
4. Chick-Fil-A for dinner (my reward for surviving the week!)
5. Straighten up house--my brother is coming tomorrow
6. Finish POTC and at least 1/2 of Frontierland
7. Get stuff ready for po tomorrow

Everyone have a WONDERFUL Friday!!! :cool1:

What a wild day! It's DS's 3rd birthday! I have nearly cried all day! Where's my baby??? The power went out at 7:30 this morning- a huge boom with a spark in the area of the backyard. We just now got power- 6 hours later. A little stressful considering we have a party at the house tonight!

1- make beds done
2- clean bathrooms done
3- clean up kitchen in process
4- get balloons done
5- wash rugs...again- DH decided to let the wet dog in on them last night!
I am sure there is more but I can't think of anything now.

Happy Birthday to DS, Aroyer..

Yep, they grow up so fast... but don't cry.. You'll be glad in a few years! LOL
Yeah, right.. that is what I keep telling myself!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY aroyers ds!!!!!

i know the feeling about them getting older. my baby was 6 this year and i really felt it this year. i'm not ready for full day 1st grade in the fall. i want him to stay a baby forever!!!!!

Happy Birthday, Aroyer's DS! Three years old, such a big boy!:yay:
