My day has turned upsidedown- I just found out that my DH foirgot to tell me or anyone else that tonight's cook wasn't going to be able to do it. Now I am cooking for 20 at church this evening.

We will be at WDW from April 4-9. We leave home on the 1st after school and DH gets home from work. Driving for the first time We are staying in Louisville on the 1st, staying with our best friends south of Nashville on the 2nd. It is only about 9 hours to Nashville but the kids want to horseback ride in Kentucky. We have done it before and it is a great place where we stop. Plus, can't be at our friends until 4 on the 2nd. We will drive all day on the 3rd (about 10 hours) and get to Orlando late on Friday. Check into AKV first thing Sat. morning and start the real vacation.

If you are going to be there the 4-8th we could meet somewhere. Our only plans are on Sun.

ETA: just noticed you will be there the week before us. Too bad

Too bad that we won't be there at the same time! It would be fun to meet up with a Dis buddy especially since I haven't met anyone in person yet! We are leaving to go down this Sunday (the 29th) and leaving to come back home on Wednesday (the 1st). Shucks!

That stinks! Good luck!!! Too bad we don't all live nearby so we could pitch in and help!

It hasn't been that bad- just not what I expected this afternoon- someone else had already done dessert. I picked up a can of corn from the pantry and 3 precooked pork butts from the freezer. they have been defrosting in my oven all afternoon. I spent about 30 minutes pulling them for sandwiches and we had rools at church to go with the prok. DH had made his special barbque sauce (I won't use- it is a Carolina hot sauce) last week so I will bring that for people to choose if they want. DH made the tea. Since it takes an hour to get to a grocery store and back - not including shopping time I am just glad there was something at the church since I have nothing in my fridge or freezer I could have used.
