Tuesday...

Today I have to:

Well, yesterday I was able to get my rolodexes, so I'm getting that gift set up (and mine while I'm at it )

Mike's for beads (didn't get there yesterday)

Open boxes, make gift piles, count for even-ness (number vs. cost...older kids aren't so easy sometimes)

Start wrapping

Work on stained glass gifts

Work on beaded gifts

Get cards in the mail

Leftover chicken for dinner...terriaki

Deb- good luck on the making and sorting of gifts. My mom sometimes broke packaged items into parts to even out the numbers a lttle more but we all knew even if the number wasn't even the price was about there.

WDWMom- you are quite the cooker- I have never made homemade marshmellows- How do you do that?

I won't get much done today.

1. Pack
2. Get Sultan packed
3. Head to Disney
4. Check on meeting Yoda'smom for breakfast
5. Go to Mickey's Christmas Party
6. Buy passes for the family for Christmas/buy new annual passes- see if we can have them start on Dec 23rd instead of today
7. Maybe work on some swap things while waiting for DH to wake up and pack

ok, today's a better morning than yesterday! dh is back to work with a new tooth! we got over that hump!

start my wrapping. goodness do i so need to do this one!
figure out food for christmas. what am i making, what am i bringing,.....

My DS16 was going to be a weather man for the longest time. He decided that any job where they pay you, you get to be wrong MOST of the time, and when asked just go was for him...

I've got to get a lot done this week because the kids are off starting Friday...
I also have to put together over 200 scrapbook pages on Friday (good thing they are the ABC pages and all I have to do is adhere the photos & can journal on Monday/Tuesday [although I won't journal alot so they can journal what they want or add more photos])

Baking class will start arould 10am ladies. I'll probably do the carmel corn first since it is the easiest and needs the oven. Marshmellows next. Rebecca, I found a recipe several years ago and made them. So easy and cute. I think it makes a 9x13 pan and I cut into squares the size of a mug. You just need one to top off you hot chocolate. Think I'll be making my gingerbread dough this morning so I can refridgerate all day and roll/cut tonight.

And yes I bake like crazy all year long but I go overboard for the holidays. I think I make about 20 different kinds of cookies and candy. PLus many of them I triple or x4 them like sugar cookies. I give lots away to teachers, neighbors, family, those less fortunate.

Chicken/Broccoli Ring? Sounds interesting...recipe please....

Here's the recipe:

Chicken and Broccoli Wreath (from Pampered Chef)

Ring: 2 tubes of refrigerated crescent rolls

Unroll 2 packages of crescent rolls; separate into 16 triangles. Arrange either triangles in a circle with wide ends 3 inches from the edge of stone (I use a Pampered Chef round stone) and points towards the outside. Arrange remaining triangles in center of baking stone, matching wide ends with triangles already in place. (points will overlap in center)

Roll over the seams of triangles where wide ends meet, creating a smooth surface for filling. Do not seal center triangles.

Scoop filling evenly over dough in a continuous circle.

Beginning with last triangle placed in center of baking stone, bring point of triangle straight across filling. Next, bring point of opposite outside triangle diagonally across filling, covering point of previous triangle. (filling will show) Repeat, overlapping points of inside and outside triangles.

Chicken & Broccoli Filling:
2 C coarsely chopped cooked chicken
1 1/2 C coarsely chopped broccoli
1 C shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 C diced red bell pepper
1/2 C mayonnaise
2 tsps dried dill weed
1/4 tsp salt
1 garlic clove, pressed
1 egg white, lightly beaten
1/4 C slivered almonds

Preheat oven to 375. Combine chicken, broccoli, cheese, bell pepper, mayonnaise, dill weed, salt, and garlic. Mix well.

Scoop filling over dough and arrange dough to make ring. Brush dough with egg white. Sprinkle with almonds. Bake 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Mornin! Debbie, I feel your pain! We have to make sure that the # of presents is equal as well as the dollar amount. It can be a real challenge!

I think I am going to my mom's today to help her wrap presents so she can make her cinnamon bread! It's the BEST bread in the world.

3- stay warm- high of 38 today... too cold for this Texas girl so far so good
4- post office went to Randalls to get stamps instead- no lines!

6- drop off pie at DD's school DH did!

10- Target to pick up soup done
