Dh didnt have any problems but when I had mine, they were impacted and the OS had to dig and I remember fighting him and I was under. This is when I was 18yo and Im 47 now.I just talked to Dh and they are on their way home, no problems and they took all 4. He's like Dh!

AR, I'm glad all went well with your DS this morning. I hope he has a quick and easy recovery.

AR, I was actually looking forward to the downtime between this and auditions. But, they just finished all the rehearsals for Districts (well, not really they'll rehearse until they go on) and auditions for the spring musical start on Tuesday!!! And even if DS doesn't get a part, he'll work on the tech crew so he'll be involved in it someway!

He wants to be involved. Sounds like these boys would have something to talk about! How long has your Ds been acting? Mine started 2 years ago and hasnt stopped. We made a deal with him at the beginning that his grades couldnt drop below B and if he did that we would let him do as much as he wanted. He's kept them up and we keep driving!

Update: He came home and slept some and tried to eat some pudding and that hurt. He's decided he doesnt like this surgery! Really?!
But he's on his computer so he's doing alright.

Ok, just a small vent..
DH's brother's family is expecting a baby.. DH's brother has not talked to DH in over a year...except to call tell DH they were expecting...NO other calls even though DH has tried and left messages being the bigger person.. I got a card in the mail today telling ME what to bring the baby! WHAT? WHAT? I'm not dealing w/ it.. I will send something up after the baby is born but I'm not buying a list of REQUIRED needs to a baby...

ETA: and what as a mother of 5 I have NO idea what to get a newborn! HELLO!!! I've had 5!!!!

Glad to hear DS is doing well after surgery..but I agree surgery sucks... I only had one..and that was to deliver baby #3...but my oh my did I hurt... I still tell him when I'm sick to my tummy it's his fault! He laughs at me!

So if they NEED the required items there, better pawn them off on another family member! I woldn't go...nope, no way...school night, kids too active, need down time b/f Monday morning...

Ummmm, and for the baby, gift card for being born. Honestly, I wouldn't even put the effort in thinking of a gift, or checking a registry...just remembering the baby is good enough. MHO...BUT WHAT NERVE!! Then again, ya know I can be a B****, and you guys are all alot nicer than I am...

DH is now tormenting me telling me he called and committed me... I laughed and said well the joke will be on them cause I won't be showing... NOW he did not call because he is so over their drama... Gotta love his effort so it won't get the best of me... but w/ the drama that this poor child will endure... will be more than enough... I feel for the child...
Gift card will be the way to go.. no real thought into it! Thanks for the suggestion!!!

I agree I don't like surgery either!!!! If he's up and about on the computer, then's he's doing fine!!!!

My DS was the Prop Master for the last play and loved it. He's done lights and sound and all that and enjoys it, but wants to be on stage as well. My DS has been involved in drama for about 1 1/2 years. When he started high school last year, he chose Improv as his fine arts credit class and that got him right in there with the whole drama group. It's been really good for him. He was kind of shy before, but now after Improv and singing and acting, he's much more outgoing.

Good for you on using the drama as a grade motivator. DS started driving in November so we've been using that. He lost his license for the first 30 days he had it because he got a C on the first report card this year. Now that he's driving and is enjoying the freedom of it, he's trying much harder at school now!

I think the gift card is definitely the way to go. Wow, I can't believe they told you what to bring for the baby! That's nerve! Good luck on dealing with them!!!

Ann. youre right blood doesnt mean blood. Im sure alot of us have friends that are much closer than our blood!
Everytime I see "AROYER" I trip myself up because my sister teachers a school called "Aroyo" (only its spelled arroyo).

DIT- My Ds is a bigger kid and didnt always fit in, he's 14, 6'1, wesrs a mens size 14 shoe, think Hoss Cartwright. Everyone always liked him but he just didnt fit, you know? He did a year od comm theater and then that director closed his theater and over the summer we found this other place and the director we have now we would follow him any where.
The kids see Ds as Ds, LOVE him, the staffing love him and he's truly happy there. Ive seen this director take shy kids and bring things out of them that just surprise you.
We plan on using the car as a motivater as well when that time comes.
So in our kids lifetimes we've gone from I'll give you a sticker if you go potty to wanna drive, bring that grade up!

Nanc, you are much nicer than I. Getting an invitation on Thursday for an event on Sunday. Oh no, with five children with such busy schedules (as they will learn very soon how time consuming their precious will be), you couldn't possible change your busy schedule on such short notice.
