I'm procrastinating and thinking about my at-home reception decorations. (Lalala not thinking about the wedding coming up in less than a month.... Nope, I don't know what you're talking about)

I think my mom and I might want to do our own decorations even though it's at least 10 tables worth of centerpieces. Probably more.

Does anyone have any recommendations for stores and/or online sites to buy candles from? We want nice colored candles, not the standard white or ivory. I haven't decided if we'll do floating ones or regular pillars yet.

Also we might look into silk flowers for making our own arrangements.

I'm kind of a crafting newbie so I really have no idea where to shop for these things.

Do you live near a craft store? Check out your local craft store and if you don't see anything then look online. Just do a google search and see what pops up.

Hm, I've found some sites through Google search, but I don't know anything about them, if they're legitimate or have good quality products.

Does anyone have any specific shops or online sites they can recommend?

I'm in NJ and we're doing all silks for allergy reasons. We got ALL of our flowers at AC Moore and Michael's. Michaels actually has all new flowers now that are just amazing! They are pricey so wait until a sale (last week was 50% off ALL flowers). We have been getting our flowers over the last year or so and I was able to get them all at end of season clearance for the centerpieces. My bouquet is made of the new flowers at Michael's.

There is also a place in Newark called *i think* Muellers. They are a wholesale store that on Saturday morning until noon are open to anyone. I didn't love their actual flowers but I got my Manzanita branches there and they had TONS of vases and things for favors. I would defiantly check them out. Sorry I don't have more info about that store, I'll try to find it but I'm not having much luck.

my new husband has allergys to flowers and we have flowers made from organza and they looked great. no pics yet as it was only sat our reception

Thank you! I'll see if I can stop by Michaels sometime.

As far as candle stores go, it seems like most of the ones I've seen are the heavily scented aromatherapy kind.

Has anyone ever heard of this company?

Their store is the Keystone Candle Factory and Outlet in Harrisburg, PA.
They have the most amazing selection of unscented candle styles and colors on their website, so I might try to order from them.

I just always feel kind of nervous ordering stuff online from a place I've never heard of hehe.
