I'm at HHI right now and we are looking for a restaurant suggestion for Thursday night. We were going to try Dye's Gullah Fixin's but she is all booked up. We really want to go to Sea Pines to see the lighthouse. Can anyone recommend a good restaurant there? (BTW-my husband has seafood allergies, so we want to stay away from mainly seafood restaurants. Looking for one that specializes in maybe steaks and seafood.)

Can anyone tell me about the Waterfront Cafe in particular?

We have eaten at Waterfront Cafe (waterfrontcafeHHI.net)and Crazy Crab at Harbor town and liked both of them. (there is another Crazy Crab just as you come onto HHI). We, of course had seafood at both( fried shrimp and seafood platter at CC and shrimp and grits/crab cakes and blackened grouper at Waterfront. The view from lighthouse is great..you can see Dufuskie Island.

The best wings I've ever had were from One Hot Mama's, and they have a decent selection of other food. To get there exit the resort and turn right onto Rt 278. Go to the first circle / roundabout (at Palmetto Bay Rd) and basically cross straight over. It's less than 100 yards up on the left. I'd also recommend San Miguel's for Mexican food. It's in the area of the marina shops and within walking distance of Disney's resort. Check their websites www.onehotmamas.com and www.sanmiguels.com for full menus.

OP was asking for Harbortown restaurants.

The Quarter Deck is on the water in Harbour Town but the food is not great.
South Beach is in Sea Pines and has 4-5 restaurants (Salty Dog) and is on the water but has been very crowded. The Burgers and Brews outdoor cafe in Harbour Town is pretty good.
