Sitting on toy story bus in lot for past 30 mins... DL was evacuated, people being sent to Harbor Blvd, not sure exact nature of emergency. Someone on our bus said bomb sniffing dogs are out.... Scary!!

I hope everyone is safe, and things improve quickly for you there! My daughter & family were just turned away from DL about 15-20 min ago, with no info other than "check back later". Nothing much on the news or various boards yet, so no details at this time.

A bomb squad is investigating and all entrances and exits have been sealed at Disneyland after park employees discovered a suspicious object there Saturday morning.

The employees spotted the object about 7:0 a.m. during a routine walk-through held prior to the opening of the park. The object -- which has not been described -- was spotted in a tree near the park entrance, police officials said.



Park officials called Anaheim police, who brought in a bomb squad to investigate.

A group of guests were let inside the park early, before the discovery of the object, but they are being sequestered in a safe area away from the entrance, police officials said.

All entrances and exits have since been sealed and no one will be allowed in or out of the park until the bomb squad investigation is concluded.

KCAL 9 is reporting a suspicious package was found in a tree near a ticket booth. All ingress and egress to the park is closed until the package can be investigated. Bomb squads on the scene. Interview conducted with Anaheim PD.

According to news stories and Twitter, an employee found a suspicious item in a tree near the ticket booths on a routine walk through this morning around 7:00. No guests being allowed in or out, anywhere near the ticket booths. There were early entrance guests in the parks already and they are being kept away from the entrance. No word on whether they are being allowed on rides in other parts of the parks. Bomb squad is there checking everything out. Parks are expected to be closed until at least noon.

I am in the park and waiting at ms ts and was wondering why we weren't able to leave the park. I was told by the CMs right by the exit that there was something suspicious happening and were not allowed to leave the park. I knew that the park being empty was no coincidence. The park is so empty right now and you can just get on any ride with no wait time.

Something similar occured just over a year ago in DTD that turned out to be a geocaching item. While I certainly am glad they take things seriously, taking from 7am until noon to resolve the issue seems like an awfully long time. I hope they get the situation resolved sooner than that.

Just talked to my niece. She is in the park. She said it is empty and they are pretty much walking on to the attractions. They wanted to go to DCA earlier and were told the park is on lockdown.

Talk about having the park to yourself, are they at least letting you do stuff? I would think being IN the park would be the safest place to be. Just hang out on rides and have a blast (no pun intended!)

Most of the rides are open except for the dlrr which the cms are not letting anyone up on tge station. All the rides r walk ons and it is great.

My niece seemed to be having a blast. She is there with her high school drama class. She goes all the time but some of the other kids rarely go or have never been. She was very happy to not have any waits.
Also most of the kids decided to sleep in so they are now stuck at the hotel. She is with a group of 5 others who are happy they got there early.
