Staying at Old Key West for the first time, which we love. I was expecting more trouble wit the buses regarding wait times but they have been fantastic.

I used the Easy WDW schedule which worked out yesterday. Saturday night we arrived at MK around 7:00 and did Big Thunder Mountain (with a FastPass; no issues at all, then used a FP for Pirates which we didn't even need. It was walk on.)Did Magic Kingdom Sunday morning. Got there are around 8:30 and walked on Peter Pan, Barnstormer and Dumbo. Did have to wait a bit for Splash (40 minutes around 10:00) but that was expected.

Went back to the resort, hung out at the pool then headed to HS. Rode Star Tours (with FP; 20 minute wait standby) saw Indiana Jones, ate at Hollywood and Vine, rode Great Movie Ride (10 minutes standby) had FP to RnR but it had broken down. Shopped a little, saw Fantasmic, rode RNR afterward (they honored our FP) then just before closing hopped on TOT with no wait. Heading to Epcot today.

Maybe it is because we always go during peak weeks (Spring Break, Christmas) but I have not noticed any major problems yet. Everything has been going pretty smoothly. We've been having a great time. I will keep you posted!

Sounds awesome! We are planning a trip for close to this time next year, so I like hearing a positive report. Random question for you. On Great Movie Ride, did you have the bandit or the gangster? And, if it was the gangster, did you happen to notice if the car was working or not? Past couple of times I have ridden it, the car was already in the room rather than pulling up during the scene. Just wondering if it is running now.

I am following the wait times at the MK this morning because 2 of my daughters (teachers on spring break) are at WDW visiting their CM sister. They hit the 7 AM EMH at MK and I am watching to see if this works as well as it always has for us on Easter and Christmas trips. They won't be using FPs because they have those set for when they go to Epcot for dinner tonight.

There is really no reason to fret about long standby wait times in the afternoon for rides like POC, JC, HM, PP, and the mountains when you can do all of them with virtually no waits before 10 AM.

Getting to the parks early for rope drop is essential, especially MK. Whenever MK has a 7 a.m. open, if you are there that early you'll blast through the park until around 10. That's 3 hours of everything being virtually walk-on.

Glad you're having a great trip.

I'm staying at OKW for the first time in May. I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying it there and that the buses are running smoothly. Enjoy the rest of your trip!

That's the beauty of it. You can do all of the most popular attractions by 10 AM with little or no wait, and then move on to lesser attractions while everyone else is going to things you've already done. You can also get an early lunch before the popular counter service restaurants get crowded.

You can also have your FP+ reservations in place for later in the day either at MK or, for Park Hoppers like us, another park.

:thumbsup2

Although I have not changed my opinion of FP+.

Thanks for the post. I was curious how crowds would be with Easter being so late in the year. Keep us posted.

Glad to hear you are having fun! We are 40 days away from our WDW annual trip and I can hardly wait. I love to read the positive feeds on here, and try to steer clear of the negative ones. Thanks for taking time from your vacation to post! Hope the remainder if your trip is magical!:flower3:
