At Disney now and freezing

What made Tuesday morning worse was the wind.
Yep....we got that same wind here in PA. Made our "highs" of 40's feel like 30's (and I'm talking HIGH temps !) :rotfl:
I'm glad your weather is getting back to normal...........we are still below average for this time of year here in PA.

I agree. It has been wonderful to finally turn off the a/c and enjoy the outdoors.
It's funny......here in PA, we go from turning off the AC to almost immediately turning on the heat ! We don't get much time to enjoy the outdoors either....
Our summers are short and hot, and our fall/winter/spring is usually cold enough to require heat (well definitely the winter !), at least at night. The past two years, I've had to use heat well into the month of May ! My aunt visited us in May of '05 (she lives in Flagler Beach, FL). She packed only shorts and capri pants. She got here and we had highs in the 40's and 50's during the 3rd week of May ! I was driving her out to the mall to buy jackets and long pants----had the heat on that week.

This is why I am waiting another 3 weeks before I decide what to pack for our Thanksgiving trip. 11/15 will give me the 10 day forecast, and I can hopefully pack accordingly.

Disney has to be better than waking up to frost in the morning here in NY.

We always go in December and usually there are at least a few really cold days during our trip. People are right: when it gets cold in Florida, it gets REALLY cold. It's always breezy, too, and that doesn't help.

I've been to Disney before during record freezing temperatures (the wind chill was actually BELOW freezing for a few days) and I have to say it was absolutely miserable.

Cool temps at Disney I don't mind.... cold is awful!

yup i was there last week too when it was the record breaking temps. It was miserable. Although i was at DAK on sunday, and i believe it was the HOTTEST day of all the days i was there, but it didnt FEEL as hot since AK has so much shade and we hit up kali river rapids! but regardless, i was a little peeved at mother nature monday morning when i had to come back to Minnesota and they were talking about the cool front coming through Florida.

at least i sweat off most of the calories i ate! haha. Always tryin to look at things on the brighter side:)

We haven't seen the sun since we've been back to VT from our trip last week! It was so hot and humid in WDW and then we came back to SNOW! At first I would have said that I would have enjoyed the "cold" in Florida however being in the cold now...I'm not so sure :rolleyes1

:cold: :cold: It's pretty chilly up my way too!!

I can't believe how cold it is at disney right now. We went to AK Sunday and it was 95 degrees. Tonight it is going down in the 40's. Wow! That is a big temperature change.

We are having a great time! We went to MNSSHP last night and we're going back tonight but tonight we will be bundled up.

I think I like the cold better than the hot but I wasn't prepared for it to be THIS cold.
For the millions of "will it be warm enough to swim when I go in the winter" posts you need to get a sticky on this :thumbsup2 ! Many people seem to think that Florida is always hot, year round. Maybe in the Keys that could be true, but in Central Florida.....no way man! Things can and do change often, but the late fall and winter are never HOT like summer is HOT KWIM!!! We lived in Jacksonville for many years and folks are always shocked to hear that it gets pretty cold and we had frost there every year!

I'm going to Disney in just 2 days ! :woohoo: :dancer:  It is dare cold in these parts.....I need some heat. Anything above 60 would be great!

Nope, it's going to be nice and warm for the next few days. We got there on Sat the 21st, and Sat and Sun were hot, hot, hot...up in the mid-90's, with pretty miserable humidity. But by Tuesday night, it had cooled down a lot....that record setting low wasn't during the day, it was in the middle of the night, so don't be scared away!!! It was chilly in the early morning...needed long sleeves, but by noon it was wonderful. Yesterday was simply glorious....sad to leave that kind of weather. They were forcasting temps in the low 80's for the weekend!!!

Oh I wish I could have some of that heat and humidity Fed Ex'd to me now.......it's so cold and dry here that my skin feels like it's going to fall off. :sunny: I'll take heat and humidity ANY DAY over cold and dry.

Crazy weather! We spent last week there. Started out in jeans and jackets, ended up the week in shorts/tees and sweating to death. Although we were wishing for more of that heat when we arrived home at our airport on sat night to 40 degree weather. :lmao:

We were also there last week MELTING! it was SO hot! we've been the WDW in October before and this is the first time we just could not get comfortable.
the DAY we left it was supposed to be in the 60's which is really just perfect for me. I think the next time we go we will iether try the end of October again or go more into the end of November/December! I'd rather be cold then to be HOT! Helen
