My dh, ds and I are at blt now. This is our 2nd stay - last yr a 1br and now a studio. once again We have no issues to report. Room is in good shape - no wear & tear showing. The bathroom sink has been moved and door gap fixed. Tons of storage compared to our room at bwv in sept! Plenty of room to leave the stroller and pnp set up and not be tripping on them. Ds is 1 and had a blast at the splash fountain this afternoon & loves riding the monorail. Now if we could just stat for about a month we'd be all set!

Glad to hear you're having a good time. We've never had any problems staying there either. Have fun!

Not all rooms are going to wear equally. I'd say either you got a "good" room or Disney has come up with some plan to address the most common issues.

Other than a couple minor scrapes--with mostly showed up because the trim is so dark--our room was in very good condition last fall. But it's impossible to ignore some of the photos that have been posted by other guests.

If some pieces of furniture were not wearing in a manner consistent with the manufacturer's guarantees, hopefully Disney has worked with the vendors to come up with an acceptable solution.

Agree...I would hope that with the amount of money that gets spent with some of these vendors they would want to follow thru with "service after the sell"...Shawnpirate:

Lots of people also fussed about the lack of locks on the bathroom doors, though I guess these are being fixed? In any case, I was just at the Ritz-Carlton on Amelia Island and the bathroom doors there didn't have locks, either. It's becoming more and more common in hotels IME.

Glad to hear you are enjoying it...I'll be "home" next week!

Some if the issues that we have experienced have been Guest caused but the quality of construction was also a factor. The most troubling was broken or chipped plastic laminate on the dining table. We have seen that twice. Another item was a hole in the ceiling above the kitchen island about the size of a champagne cork.

We stayed twice in a 2 bedroom, and like you we had no problems at all. The rooms were in good shape and I liked the lay out of the 2 bedrooms better the OKW and although everyone says "how much bigger" OKW rooms are it did not "feel" that way to me. I know sq ft they are but I just loved the 2nd bedroom being at the other end of the villa.

I'm glad you enjoyed your BLT studio stay. We haven't had one of those yet, but I hope to someday.

Actually they are in the studios at least. When the door is close there's a little latch to flip and lock the door.

Agreed, but i think so many people jump on the bad reports, it bears mentioning that not all the rooms are in such bsd shape, which is the impression that seems to be prevalent on the boards.

One poster mentioned the bathroom sink being moved...has this been done? We are scheduled to stay there 4 nights in May and was kind of dreading the wierd studio setup.

We have stayed in 3 different studios over the past year and have never noticed any wear and tear in the studios. All three were lake view and were in great shape. :goodvibes

The latches were not part of the original design and are being retrofitted to the rooms along with the studio sink reconfiguration.

According to Disney's own estimates, the sink and door lock modifications should be complete in all villas within the next few days.

Correct. The fact the op received a retrofitted villa is great and proof that there were ligitimate complaints posted regarding BLT. The sink, door locks, Gaps, rusty fountain and other issues reported here are being addressed, which is great news!

This was not a case of piling on, there were issues, and DVD took notice.

Staying at BLT for the first time in June and was a bit worried due to the past reports of problems. Nice to read this post. Can't wait to give BLT a try.

We are at blt now too:banana:! We are in a 1 bedroom and loving it! The room is in good shape--- the couch shows some stains(light color was not wise IMHO) but there is a lock on the bathroom door and the furniture seems to be in good shape. My only issue is there is too little light in the master bath. Putting on makeup is a challenge. But I am actually on here checking out resale( we own at ssr and hh):wizard::wizard:
Op, I hope you weren't the one carrying the screaming baby this morning when I was heading out for a run--that poor baby sounded sick:guilty:

We stayed in a studio at BLT in early March. It still had the sink in the kitchenette and the bathroom door had not been fixed, but neither thing bothered us at all. Other than some rust in the tub, we saw no significant wear and tear.

It was our first stay there and we loved it!! :lovestruc

Oh, that's where they lower the minicamera and watch us to make sure we're having fun (and not complaining)! :lmao:
