I thought i might try to do a live trip report, I love to read them when it is almost time for me to go to the world.

We arrived yesterday and checked in at about 3:00 and the room was ready:goodvibes. Not to far from the lobby. It is a studio SV. A bit small for the 4 of us.

This is are 1st time staying at AKV since we bought into DVC 2 years ago. We have stayed at SS and HH.

On this trip we have me(30), DH(26), DS(4), DS(1) and then on Saturday we move over to Kidani for 6 nights when my parents join us and we will be in a
2BR, plus my DSis who lives in Orlando will join us off and on thru the trip.

So far the weather has been great and the crowds low.

Went to Epcot for a couple of hours last night and DHS today until 1:00. Everything we went on was a walk on. Had lunch at Sci-Fi and the restaurant wasn't even full. When we left there was like no waiting to be seated . Ususally there are hundred's of people waiting

Went to DD tonight and it wasnt that crowded. Had dinner at Earl of a Sandwich and it was great as always. Came back early we were all tired

Tomorrow is MK and we have breakfast at the CP I will try to post more tomorrow

Wow, that's great to know that you're not fighting great crowds. Enjoy your Jambo and Kidani stays!!! Are you seeing lots of animals from your villa?

Enjoy your stay. I love AKV Jambo House.
Tell us about the weather too, please.
Daily rains?
How warm and/or cool in AM and evenings?
Sweater weather? Knee socks? Gloves?

My DH and I will be there in Jan for a kids free vacation since we just took them in Sept. We will be staying at AKV Jambo House Value SV also. What kind of view do you have? We will be going again in Sept 2010 and I asked my DS8 if he wanted to stay at AKV with the Savannah view and he said no he wanted to stay at BCV because of the pool, I was shocked, thought he would like to wake up to the animals. Hope u are having a great time and cont. too.

We just got back from AKV stand. view at Jambo. We had room 5436 which had a good view but we had to move since the elevators were so noisy and we went to room 5436 and had a terrific pool view. We were there Oct 13 and Oct 14 and the parks were busy. On the Tues the 13the MK was quiet, we walked on everything, but on Wed Oct 14 the crowds came and Epcot was so busy, we were also there the 15th. and 16th. and it was crowded. Glad to hear it has quieted down. We loved AKV.

The view is great. We are on the Kudu Trail in the Arusha Savanna. We have seen lots of animals. My DS(4) loves it. I might try loading some pictures later today, if i can figure out how to do it. When we move over to Kidani we will have a standard view and I have feeling we are really going to miss are Savanna view.

I forgot to say when we came back from our break yesterday we went swimming at Jambo. I love the zero entry pool. It was the baby's first time in a pool and I thought he would hate it but he loved it. He is actually
14months old today and just started walking really good about 2 weeks ago, which i was happy because i knew he would want down. so i sat him down and he would walk in the water a little ways and then walk out, we did this for about 10 mins before he finally got in and sat down and played, splashed, and laughed for about 30 mins.

the weather has been in the mid 70's and no humidity, today it is suppose to get up to 85 but i dont think it is suppose to be humid. no rain yet.

we go to MK today and i know it will be a little bit busier because of Spectro tonight but it is our favorite parade and we have to watch every time we come. from what i have read on the boards it will probably be busy on the weekend.

let me know if you have anymore questions and i will try to answer them

We were there just a few weeks ago with our 4yo and 1yo and had a fabulous time! I also loved the zero entry pool! You have to go over to the Kddani pool one afternoon, also zero entry but the slide is longer and there is an incredible splash pad/playground. My baby LOVED it, and big sis thought it was pretty fun too ;)

Have a wonderful time!

reading this is making me more excited. we are going to be there starting sunday (only 4 more days!!!). we will be in a studio, savanah view. we are all SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited. our first trip home:cool1::yay::woohoo:

Went to MK this morning, had Breakfast at the CP, and it was good. Took the advice from someone on the disboards about paying when you first sit down so you could get out right away. The baby and I got done 1st and we made our way down to the Barber Shop and was the first ones there, we got there at 8:45 before they let everyone into the park. He got his first haircut, he did so well and was so cute.

It is a bit warmer today but not unbearable. The crowds are a bit more but that is to be expected since it is a Spectro day. But we rode alot of stuff and every thing was walk on's. My DH and DS(4) went on the Barnstormer and rode it 7 times in a row before they had to get off.:yay: We left around 1:00 and came back to swim. We are getting ready to go back to ride more rides and then watch Spectro. We are not seeing any fireworks on the trip because the kids are afraid of them

We are staying at Kidani starting on saturday so we will definetly being checking it out

Hey we are from Indiana also

We are leaving Friday after the kids get home from school. We're driving- 18 hours, but splitting it up in 2 days. We're by Notre Dame, a short 10 minute drive to campus. Reading your TR's, is making us very excited. :thumbsup2

After we ate DH and DS(4) went to use the rider swap pass for BTMRR and the baby and I found a seat for the parade at about 6:30 and then it started raining, not very hard and it lasted about 5 mintues. 1st rain of the trip.

Went to Epcot this morning and it wasn't really that crowded. Followed the mass of people to Soarin. DH and DS(4) rode stand by and it was after 9:30 beofre they got off. I think you need to be ahead of the people if you want to ride first thing or it takes to long. I did fastpass it while i was waiting.

After that we went on Nemo, it was a walk on. Look around Living Seas for awhile and saw Turtle Talk. It was after 10:30 when we got out of there and we went to FP TT. Then we ate lunch at Electric Umbrella, the food was decent nothing special but ok.

It was time for are FP after lunch and me and DS4 rode TT and there was only a 20 min wait on standby. On the way out we FP again for later.

Look around in mouse gears some and then went back for a break at about 1:00. DH took DS4 to the arcade and I took the baby to the room for a much needed nap. He slept for 2 hours which made me happy because his naps have been messed up since we got here.

We left the resort about 3:30 to go back for our reservations at Teppan Edo.
My sister met up with us for dinner.

The Worldshowcase was so crowded, the most crowds that we have seen all week. We checked in and got seated right away. Now i was really looking foward to this restaurant and was kinda of disappointed. The food was good but i didn't think you got enough food and there really wasnt a show. The guy just cooked in front of us and there was no fire, no tricks or jokes. I just thought the one back home was better and it being Disney I kinda expected more. oh well i tried it but i dont know if we will make it a regular.

After dinner we used our Test track FP and the standby entrance said it was a 30min wait but there was no one there so after we got off we rode it again and walked right into the preview room.

Then we went to use our Soarin FP and the wait there said 40mins but it looked like it was about 15min.

There was so many people there but I think they were all at the F+W festival.

It was suppose to be hotter today but it didn't seem it, I did think it was more humid tonight though.

Tomorrow we go the MK for half a day and have dinner at Ohana's
I will try to post more pictures tomorrow.
