ASSP Q's?

I've been looking for info on ASSP and cannot seem to find it anywhere.

1) How far is the walk from ASSP to the other AS resorts?

2) I read on here somewhere that CSR is within walking distance, but now I cannot find it anywhere? Wondering if I imagined it???

3) Have all of the AS resorts been refurbed? If not, which ones have and which being the most recent?

4) Are all the rooms in the Surf's Up Section the preferred? Or only the ones near the pool?

Any thoughts on the resort? We are currently booked at POP but looking at switching to an AS resort to be able to vacation w/ family. We stayed at POP last year and LOVED it!

1)5 minutes to All-Star Music;10 minutes to All-Star Movies(Times can be shorter depending on where in All-Star Sports you are staying)

2)"Could" be walked,but never heard of anyone doing it.BUSY roads to navigate and a LONG walk.

3)Music and Sports have been refurbed within the last few years with Sports being the most recent.

4)The entire Surf's Up building is Preferred.

5)Pop Century versus All-Star Sports is totally a theming choice to me.Both are great resorts.(Keep in mind that PC is CURRENTLY being refurbed with new Falt Screen TVs,etc.)

I could have sworn I read that there was a path you could walk over to CSR and just to ask the front desk for a map.

Found it! Quoted from allears.net on the All Star Sports Info Page.

You can walk to the adjacent All Star Music Resort to check out the themed buildings there, enjoy a meal at the Intermission Food Court , or shop at Maestro Mickey's. Coronado Springs Resort is just a short distance away via the jogging path (ask at the front desk for directions or a map), offering even more possibilities for dining and shopping.

So has anyone done this?

ASSp is 26. CSR is 29. I don't know anything about the jogging path, but comparing that distance to the size of Animal Kingdom and the fact that Blizzard Beach is completely between them, it is pretty far. If you want to go to CSR to check it out or eat, your best bet would be to catch the bus to BB/AK and transfer.

I'm not aware of any "Jogging Path" ... but ....

There are sidewalks along the road between All Stars and all the way back past Blizzard Beach... and on to CSR.

In the attached picture below...

All Stars is at the very bottom.. Just before Osceola Parkway on the right is a McDonalds .. further along about halfway up you see Blizzard Beach on the right and then just near the top.. CSR on the left of the roadway.

It's about 1 km (.62 miles) to Blizzard Beach and roughly 2 km to (1.24 miles) to CSR.

By way of information... this is a heavily traveled road with lots of car and bus traffic and if having those vehicles whizz past you at 45 mph or faster un-nerves you - then I don't recommend walking or jogging these sidewalks. And above all, when crossing the roadway, ALWAYS follow the traffic signals.

Thanks CdnGuy. I can see on the map that there clearly is no jogging path connecting the 2 resorts which confuses me as to why www.allears.net says that there is.

I suspect it's just a terminology issue. They call it a jogging path and I call it a sidewalk.. It does connect all points from CSR thru All Stars on Buena Vista Dr.

Here's a close up of a section of the road between the two resorts..

You can see the sidewalks on the right - I've highlighted them yellow to make them more distinguishable.
