What better way to promote staying at your resorts? If you can only purchase the refillable mugs at your resorts, then have these guest be the only ones that can use the "refillable stations" in the parks. With the new "tech" you would not even have to have someone manning the station.

When this goes full force across all resorts, I want to be the fly on the wall when a guest approaches a cast member about their good forever mugs and how they don't work now. I think Wilderness Lodge sold them, and Dixie Landings. If any one knows of or has a forever cup please jump in where and what year you bought it approximately. This isn't a Disney Urban Legend. The forever cups do exist and were sold .

I buy a new mug every trip, so the new enforcements don't bother me. I've seen my share of dishonest beverage theives fill their grimy non-Disney mugs & have their kids dishonestly do the same. However, I am a little concerned because I like to fill my mug w/ half hot chocolate & half coffee and I don't know if the computer will allow me to do that. Anyone have insight on that?

I have one from the Caribbean Beach from back in the mid-90's.

I knew it. My CBR mug got thrown out, But I still have my WL mug . People keep them coming. Who bought a lifetime mug .This is no different then Disney Honoring old Tickets or Plus options. They sold us these life time mugs and now they are trying to go back on the deal. And I don't remember any lawyer lingo on the old mugs saying they were non transferable Better yet Disney should be giving us an address to send them in to retro fit them with the lifetime RFID chips. That was the first mug I bought because of what they advertised and offered as a promotional gimmick to get me to buy that mug. I don't believe I'm being unreasonable to have this honored Actually in this economy its smart to push the issue with a manager of the hotel and I would win.
