Hi.

My mom purchased 420 points for my family back in 2009, but 95% of the time, these points are
for my mom and I to travel together to Disney.

We usually get APs and I currently have the Sorcerer's Pass since I can purchase with the DVC discount and my mom has the Incredi Pass.
I'm guessing since we do not live at the same address, I cannot put her on the DVC information as "Associate" so she can
get the DVC discount of the APs.

Is above correct?

Associates are not entitled to Membership Extras, which would include the ability to purchase a Sorcerer Pass (if not a FL resident).

Oh thank you so that settles that question LOL

The only way my mom could get the DVC discount for AP is if she was living at my address. Is that correct?

Or if you added her as an owner, which would require a change to the deed.

Correct unless, as mentioned, you make her an owner.

It was the reason we added our adult kids to our Aug UY membership. They can now qualify for membership extras even though they don’t live with us anymore because they are joint owners.

Thank you.
Maybe I will just do this and add my kids while adding my mom.
Did you use a specific company and approximately how much did it cost?

I used the one recommend by Disney, First American, and they were pricey at $475. But they did it quick since we were adding on direct at the same time.

Others have used LT transfers which I have heard is less expensive but good to work with

Some do it on their own for even less but it wasn’t for me.

LT Transfers fee starts at $175.

Thank you both very much!
I appreciate your help!

This is confusing… your mom has the IncrediPass. Is she still eligible for the renewal window?
I thought the only discount available was for eligible renewals as a Florida resident and / or the Pixie Pass with blockout dates.
Anyway , I will reread and try to figure out what you accomplished .

All current AP holders are eligible to renew within 60 days before until 30 days after their AP expiration date. It's only sales of new APs that have been restricted to the FL resident-only Pixie Dust pass. But there are no DVC discounts on the Incredi-Pass, just the renewal discount.

The way I read it, the OP wants to be able to get the Sorcerer Pass for mom. Since she does not live with them nor is she listed as an owner, she is not eligible for that pass level. She is only eligible for the Incredi-Pass and there is no FL Resident or DVC discount on that pass level.

Thanks for explaining.I think I was searching for the answer to my “planning” / ticketing and DVC in case I missed something.
I also figured out the pixie pass is not the Sorceror Pass Haha .
I should edit above post .
Hope I didn’t confuse anybody more than necessary.

I would use LT Transfers. Super-simple and straight forward.

Know that you cannot have a mortgage outstanding on the contract. It has to be paid in full.

Thank you. I will look into how much this costs and it was paid in full when purchased.

I appreciate the information.

I too can endorse LT Transfers due to personal experience with them in performing ownership changes to multiple TS my parents owned and passed to my siblings and me.

Fabulous! Thank you. We own three and may think about them all when I change for my kids and add my mom to the DVC (that she actually purchased lol).

Thank you.
