Assigning GTY?

We are 4 weeks out now for our Med cruise and just wondering what is the norm for when they assign GTY. Also, if the ship is showing no availability at all for inside staterooms, do you think we will have good odds in being upgraded for our inside gty?

Are you talking about a GTY? As in one with a specific category applied (for example 9C GTY, or 4A GTY). If so, those are typically assigned 45-60 days out from a cruise.

If you mean the last minute restricted fare *GT (IGT, OGT, or VGT) they usually assign those around 10-14 days out.

All that being said, any guarantee booking can be assigned at any time from original reservation date up to, and including, embarkation day.

Most guarantee reservations get just the category they are booked for. Some get upgraded.

I am not sure what the odds will be, but the one time we booked IGT we received an 11B about 9 days out. Fingers crossed you get more pixie dust than we did!

Sorry, IGT. This is all new to me. In 10 DCL cruises, we have never booked a guarantee stateroom. So I guess I just need to be patient. One of my worse traits!
