assigned cabins... cat.5... 1 w/ solid balcony...?

one of our cabins is closer to mid ship and one was assigned at the far aft... no plexiglass balcony... aside being dissapointed we won't be close by each other I'm also dissapointed that my bro.'s cabin has a solid railing. DCL says there is nothing to switch them to... what to do?

The only thing I can think of is to check other websites to try to find an available cabin and call Disney back and ask to be moved. I can't remember those sites that list available cabins....ANYONE ELSE REMEMBER????

How can you tell if your cabin has the solid wall instead of
the plexiglass?

I have my cabin assignment, its 6086. Anybody know how to tell?
I don't want the solid wall either.

Most Category 6's have transparent verandah railings. Rooms 6144-6154 and 6644-6654 have solid-wall verandah railings.

I'm calling back today to see if there is anything that can be done... maybe someone has moved up or cancelled... just want to do what I can to make the trip for the family as wonderful as can be... it doesn't hurt to check back , right? Hope they won't be bothered by it...

Just off the phone with DCL and she easily and quickly gave me 7594... right next door to our cabin... all I did was inquire! What an unexpected blessing! I'm so happy! It really will be nice to be together and don't you agree the plexiglass railing are more enjoyable? It really does make a difference who you talk to... yesterday I could make no headway and today it was a cakewalk! I'm grateful...

We have had both type of railing...the plexi are nice if you have small children but I found the solid ones aft of the ship to be much larger and we enjoyed them very much!!!
