Assembling Natalie's passports

Natalie makes such beautiful Epcot passports and I would like to put it together like a real passport, ie staples in the middle, printed on both sides etc... When I actually thought about how difficult this will be, I kind of gave up. Has anyone done this and how do you figure out which pages to print on the backs of which other ones? Am I even making sense? It's not quite as straight forward as printing out each page and stapling it together.

Page order for a twelve page booklet would be as follows:

Cover and page 11
Page 1 and page 10

Page 2 and page 9
Page 3 and page 8

Page 4 and page 7
page 5 and page 6

Basically start with the cover and the last page and count up and down respectively.

Some programs, like MS Publisher and I'd bet Word (don't use it much) can do this automatically for you. It would print only on one side unless your printer is capable of doing double sided.

Print a page marking a piece of paper with "first" for the edge that goes through the printer first, "left" for the left edge and "down" for the side that is face down. This will tell which way the printer prints and will help you line up sides. It may take a little experimentation.

Also, depending on the size of the image and the capacity of your printer, you may be able to combine the images before hand.

I carefully lined everything up to print on both sides... once on one side and then flip over to print on other side. I know easier said than done.

I loaded the pages onto 4 shared account so a friend could use them-- the file was too big to email.

Natalie, can I add a link to that here? The designs are yours, I just manipulated the order.

If you do not mind me asking - How did you bind this? Did you cut each page out and round the corners? Do you have any pictures of the cover?

I had them bound at Staples. $1.49 for the binding, and another $.50 for a clear plastic cover. After I printed them, I cut the pages in half, and rounded the edges with scissors. I'm really pleased with how they turned out.

Jenny,
They turned out great - thanks for sharing how you did them!

I've gotten some PMs asking for the link how I did this, so I'll just share it here.

Reminder: these are Natalie's designs, I just manipulated the order so that it would make a book. If you want something changed, I can't do it.

Print page 2 on the back of page 1, page 4 on the back of page 3, etc. When finished, you'll have 12 sheets of paper, printed on both sides. Page 1 is the outside cover, and just place each sheet inside the previous pages. You can staple the center or cut it apart and have it bound.

I used cardstock as my kids are not gentle, and I was hoping it wouldn't rip.

Hope that helps!

Hi Jenny,
I downloaded the files, but when I printed the first page, they did not line up from front to back. :sad2: The rounded edge was not lined up from the front to back. Does that make sense? I do not know how to line them up correctly. :confused3 Can you give me any advice?
Thank you,
Rama

Thanks for adding the link Jenny!!!

Yours is great - cannot wait to make one!!

I know i am a little late but these pages are beautiful. Where do I find the acutal pages.

thanks in advance

I finally figured out how to print them and get them straight! Thank you for arranging these and posting them. They are so pretty! My DD loves it and we have not even had it bound yet!:cheer2:
Thank you again,
Rama

Sixthsents, I'm glad you figured it out! I've been trying to see if I could think of anything, so I'm happy you got it!

We used a regular WDW pen. We had to wait for stamps to dry a bit but it was no problem!
