My email was read and they actually responded! If you remember, I had the preferred room booked at ASMu and they shoved me in the back of the hotel without so much as a sorry. And the manager was to busy to talk to me, but they told me it was the ONLY room available when the people next to me were being given tons of options.

Anyway, a woman from Disney called me today. She did the whole we appreciate the email and have forwarded it to all the executives. Then she said she noticed we were coming back this weekend. She has set up a file for us that we pick up at guest relations.... 5 priority fastpasses for our whole family that we use on whatever we want whenever we want. She says that is in compensasion for the time we wasted sitting waiting to speak with the manager.

And then she told me we are now priority special guests for our PC stay this weekend and gave me a number to call to make my requests and such. Well i'm not exactly sure what this number is for? Has anyone used something like this in the past? The only help she really gave is that they take your requests and try their best to guarentee them for you. Well I thought that's what making requests period was for. And she didn't tell me at all what to tell them, I am supposing it's in the reservation at this point and they'll know that she sent me to them? I just don't know what to say when I call them except that I would prefer a room in the 70's building 1st floor which is in my reservation already?

I think this is also for dinning reservations.

call the phone number and ask about Cindy's breakfast (always hard to get) or something you have never been able to get reservations for to eat at.

Also if you have the money - you might consider a firework cruise.....

I really think that number is for EVERYTHING - not just the hotel....

try it and see!

I had this happen before... the number she gave me to call was strange and awkward. They didn't have any clue why I was calling them. I explained, and they just seemed confused. They did stay very polite, though. I just couldn't figure out why I was calling.

Here is the link to my situation (sorry, it is kind of long but the part where I called is addressed toward the end, I think).

ASMu woes

No, this phone number is for Pop Century exectutive offices is what she told me... but like taximom said, I am gonna feel weird calling it. It's not for resturants at all...

You could have a number that superstars and actors and millionaires use to get their requests taken care of. Make the call and request your preferred room and ask for dining res and anything else you want to have happen. Think of it as a golden oppurtunity

Well I called the number. It was definately Pop Century executive offices. I spoke with a woman name Jo Ann and she was really nice and was able to see that the woman I spoke to this morning sent me to her. So I asked for 1st floor 70's building and she said that should be easy enough, no problem. And that was it... lol.

I see that you are my next door n :cool1: ghbor Our friends vacated that room early this morning and stowed their stuff in our room. It was really funny to come home to your note..guess you saw my lime green Mickey's in the window! Hopefully, you have your very own now, on your door! We'll be here til Monday, hope we "run" into you..it's always nice to put a face to a name! Have a great vacation!

I'm not sure how many millionaires, superstars, or actors have stayed at PC!

Well ... whoop dee blankity-blank doo! The fastpasses don't even begin to cover your inconvenience. We received those same FPs when I complained about a rude CM in the FP return line. We were inconvenienced for a total of 10 minutes.

As for the special phone line. That will only be worthwhile if you need to book Cindy's on some morning and couldn't get in.

I'm sorry, but it seems that they didn't address your concerns properly. I think they should have given you a free upgrade to a Preferred View at Pop.

We got to sort of, well almost, kind of, meet the OP. She was in the room next to us, and apparently noticed our Mickey's made out of lime green in the window (well, on the shelve, they kept falling). We had a little fun with each other, leaving notes, etc on the door, although we never did get to meet (thanks so much for the chocolate covered pretzels!).
Just an update on the room you got. Our friends were there until the morning you got in. They had to have the light over the sink fixed, as it didn't work..but would you beleive they had no heat (and it's been chilly at night). The first night they were told to just put it up as high as possible, as there was no heat in that particular room, but if they put it up high, the air wouldn't come on. The next day they called and were told they could have the engineer put in a new part and that would give them heat. They said yes, please, and by Thursday night, they finally had heat. Hope you guys weren't sweated out of that room!
Sorry we never actually got to meet. Hope your kids had a great time at Disney!

LOLOL Doris, we actually had maitenence come in the first night and override the air conditioner to put it lower... we were hot! I'm sorry we didn't get to meet, but it was fun to leave notes and all. Who was with you, the whole family? I couldn't remember if it was just the one son you had that's in the picture or you had another son? Glad you liked the pretzels, lol. My daughters thought it was SOOO cool that we "knew you" from the boards. They thought it was fun we got to leave notes! We actually checked out of PC yesterday and decided to stay another night at WL. Hee hee.

I hope the kids weren't too loud, my son was a little "trying" this trip!

The fastpasses were completely useless... we got them for mgm yesterday and there were no fastpasses being run. So we had them rewritten for today and still no fastpasses being run... aye!

Never heard a sound from your room. Your kids were perfect. This trip was just hubby and I. My grandson is in the pic, and the grands didn't come with us this trip. We had three rooms, one with a couple from up here, who snowbird in Florida, and another couple (and several couples who came for the evening) that we originally met on an online camping board (IRV2.com).
I wish the Mickey's would have stayed up in the window..perhpas we would have met even more diser's!
Sorry abotu the heat LOL!
Ahh..WL, good for you!

Ok, so that is your grandson! I knew there was a picture of a boy in front of the kitchen sink & fireman with mickey on your siggy when I saw your user name on the note...

It was a nice room location... easy and quick walk to the main building. I'm so glad you didn't hear them at all, I got a little nervous when I knew dis'ers were next to us and the history of "thin walls" at PC.

Yea, our mickeyhead was gone by the time we got back to the room that day... I had gotten some for our October trip, but they never got noticed. It's a great idea to put them up on the room window!
