ASMU Room request tips???

We just came back from a week in the ASMU and were pretty pleased with our first on-site experience. We arrived late (about midnight) and our room was in the Country Fair (??) building on the back corner. We had requested adjoining rooms and got that which was great!!! We also liked that it was quiet. The only draw-back was the long trip to the food court and bus stop.

Anyway, I have been seeing on the boards about making room requests and having never made such a request, I am looking for hints. Going back May 4-12 on a ladies only trip (3 of us) and one of the ladies is older. So here goes my request: I'd like a non-smoking, relatively quiet room, probably on the 2nd or 3rd floor that is fairly close to the the food court and bus stop without being a preferred room. (Did I mention this was also a budget trip?) We probably don't need to overlook the pool. Scenery isn't that important as we will probably only leave the parks when they throw us out at the end of the night.

Do I call CRO back now and tell them this or fax them later and if fax, when? Also are there any tips on wording the fax to get the best results? Also, if it is going to be a late check-in will I have any luck at all or just get what is left?

The closest standard rooms are in Jazz buildings 2 & 9. You can call CRO and request that you wish rooms in those buildings.

As far as faxing goes, check out the fax info on Deb's site for when and what to fax.

Thanks for the link. That was just what I was hoping for. Especially the sample fax!!!!!
