ASMu or POR

My DW and I are planning a trip in 2011 with our 3 boys and are going back and forth between the suites at music or the rooms at Port Orleans Riverside.

We have been leaning towards ASMu because everyone would have their own bed to sleep on and the seperate room for us and the two bathrooms sounds wonderful.

Can some please post their experiences at these two resorts to help with our decision.

Nice place and planning is on very good time.I am also thinking about this with my DW.I have only one kid let see what happen.But i admire your planning and i am happy might be possible we meet there.

I haven't stayed in ASM, but have stayed at POR, and love it. In the AB section the rooms have trundles so it would fit the 5 of you. Beautiful resort, boat to DTD, Marina to rent boats, bikes. Fishing hole! Carriage rides, evening entertainment in River Roost fun for all ages. We loved Bob Jacksons show. Multiple bus stops under cover, with fans & benches. So every building is close to a bus stop. Great pool with slide & hot tub. Also quiet pools near each building.
You may be all in one room, and one bathroom, but the resort has more to offer, IMO.

I have always stayed at values previously so I can't compare ASMu to POR, but I can say that my daughter LOVES ASMu. She enjoys the poolside activities so much she would often beg off going to the parks at night to participate. They play games and have a movie each night. Two years ago we stayed at ASMo and DD insisted on walking over to ASMu every night. Last year we booked at ASMu. A couple months before our trip I recieved an offer to upgrade to SSR, FOR THE SAME PRICE AS ASMu! DD would have none of it, I couldn't believe it . This year I managed to convince her to upgrade to a moderate with pictures of the pool at CSR. We'll see if I can avoid nightly trips over to ASMu to see the movies.
