Hey everyone! Hope you're having a great day!! I just wanted to ask everyone's opinion on the All-Star Music vs. All-Star Sports. My DH and I are going to WDW the end of August, and we're choosing between the 2 hotels. We've only stayed at the ASMo, but it's sold out of the AP rate, so we have to choose 1 of the other 2. Which one do you prefer and why??? Thanks, and have a good day! :)

I have only stayed at AllStar Sports but visited Music. I love the AllStars. They are beautifully themed and have a great atmosphere.

If we choose to stay at the AllStars again I would either do Music or Movies. Since Movies is sold out I would stay at Music. I think it was beautiful, colorful and full of activity. I like that sort of atmosphere.

Have a great time!

We have stayed at the ASMu on 3 different occasions and love it. especially the calypso area closest to the pool and food court. nice resort.

DH and I stayed at Music (just us) about six years ago (before Movies was open). We chose it over Sports because the music theme was much more our style, but once we arrived we both thought that the look of Sports was cooler, slightly better themed.

We visited again last summer with my 11 and 13 year old cousins. Movies was our first choice, but it was sold out. Because of our previous experience and because we thought the kids would be more into the Sports theme, we chose Sports, but then I spent weeks and weeks worrying about not liking it very much and second guessing the choice (especially because it's the oldest).

Long story short, in the end I think we made the absolute right choice. The kids liked the bolder Sports theme (and both are into sports) and I never felt overwhelmed by the interior decor (I had worried that football bedspreads, etc. would drive me insane, but it's pretty subtle and I barely noticed the difference from Music). And I didn't notice any glaring wear due to its slightly older age.

But--as a family that relied on the Disney bus system (no car)--I think Sports was clearly the best option for us. We never really cared that it was Baseball and Football instead of Broadway or Toy Story, and it was a blessing to be the first bus stop. Great to be picked up first (more likely to get a seat and more likely at peak hours to fill the bus, then bypass Music and Movies and go right to our destination) and great to be dropped off first after a long day. Being the first bus stop of the three All Stars was 110% enough reason for me to make Sports my first choice, though if we went back with a car I'd try for Movies again.

Hope that helps.

We have stayed at Sports 11 times, Music 5 times and Movies 4 times. We really enjoy staying there and it makes our very frequent WDW trips affordable.

Sports is frequently used to house large groups of kids. School groups, sports teams, cheerleaders, etc. You may find Music to be quieter. If you really want a quiet experience, request the Broadway section.

We've done the Music once and the Sports twice. I liked both but if I was going again, i chose the Sports. I like that the bus stops there first (usually) and lets you off first. Those buses can get rather full! :p
Hope your trip is great!

We've stayed at AsSp and AsMu and enjoyed both of them. The set-up of the resort is pretty much the same, just different theming.

For two adults with no children, I'd probably pick AsMu, just because it will probably have less kids. We didn't have any problems with the bus transportation, but it does stop at Sports first.
