do the Allstars share buses or does each one have their own? Would be there 4/9-4/14

Depends on the demand. It just depends on the crowd and how many buses are in circulation at that moment in time. Was there Halloween week last year and it was pretty much 50/50 chance. I think we didn't get a seat maybe twice, even on shared buses that had already stopped at Sports. And maybe we were just lucky, but this was the first time that we didn't 'miss' the bus and have to wait for a second one to come around and pick up the rest of us that didn't fit on the first one.

We have stayed at both ASMu and ASMo and they never shared buses, but I have heard of them sharing if it is not too crowded.

Good to hear they aren't sharing anymore...they did back in 2007...other than the double beds instead of queen beds, the sharing of buses between the three All Stars was the main reason we started staying at moderate resorts.

I guess I don't see the difference, unless you are only staying at POFQ. All moderates have more bus stops than the 3 All Stars. As the All Stars are all connected by their parking lots, it is more like one big resort with 3 stops. Not seeing how a moderate is an improvement, when it comes to the number of st ops.

It is not the number of stops, but the number of people using the same bus. CBR and POR (the two we have stayed at) have about 2100 rooms each...and each All Star resort has between 1900 and 2000 rooms...so almost three times the number of rooms were being served on the one route compared to the moderates. We stayed at Movies, and as the last of the three to be picked up, often we had to wait for the second or third bus each morning before there was room for us to get on. Leaving the parks, the lines for the combined bus pick-up were LOOOOOONG. None of our stays since have had lines anywhere near as long leaving the parks, even though the overall crowds in the parks have seemed larger.

So if they are now usually running buses to each, then that is a much improved situation. It really was our biggest complaint of that first trip...and why we hadn't ever planned on staying All Stars again. Now we would certainly consider it.

Yep, you cannot argue with math, All-Stars 5,440 rooms > CBR with 2,112.
We've had pretty good bus service the times we stayed at the all-stars.

But in order for the math to work you also have to somehow figure out how fast the buses are going to each resort. And that varies. Not to mention, it was quicker in my experience for a bus to make all 3 stops at the All Stars than it was for a bus to make all 7 stops at CBR. I would much rather stay at an All Star over CBR. Any day!!

Time to board THE SAD BUS!!!!BOOOOOOOO!!!!:):):):)

As airship ariadne mentioned, the buses were always full when they went, so what good is it if the bus stops faster to all 3 all-stars if their full?

I was at ASMus over the Presidents Day Long Weekend last Feb and the buses were shared. And some buses just picked up at AS Sports, were filled to capacity and then drove past us on the highway. Often 40 min plus wait for a bus and then standing room only. That was the norm. While I loved the theming of ASMus, the transpo left me cold compared to POP. I stood more on the ASMus bus returning from the parks than any other resort. Could just be my experience over a holiday weekend. But once & done.

During Marathon weekend (two weeks ago) they were mostly separate. Sunday night back from MK we shared, but it was one of those double buses.

Overall I think they do a good job of deciding when to run separate buses and when to share.

This hasn't been my experience. But that does stink!

They aren't always full, in my experience. And when I have walked up to a bus stop and the first bus filled up (Pop, looking at you!) they send another right away! One time they actually sent 4 MK buses back to back to back to back. No waiting between them at all! There are so many other factors at play that it truly is impossible to say that one resort always has better bus service than another.

Personal experience is all we can go by...and in 2007, the experience was not so great for us. 2010 and 2014 at POR and CBR, much better. But like I said, if they have altered and no longer combine except during slow periods, then problem solved...if not, it is just like last time we stayed there, by the time they get to Movies, there were no seats left and only part of the line got to board.

We've had a total of 24 nights across all 3 All Stars. Out of all those nights, we shared a bus a grand total of 4 times. And all 4 had 6-8 other people on the bus.

Ditto to dansdad. I stay at Music every year and the only time we notice a share with the other resorts is in the middle of the afternoon and there are usually only a handful of people onboard.
