ASMo or Pop?

We will be needing 2 rooms for our first night before we move to OKW for the rest of the week in November.

I thought we would just get two rooms at a Value with AAA discount ($84/room/night).

That way, we can use Magical Express for transportation, and Disney will move our bags for us.

Question - Which would you prefer ASMo or Pop?

Demographics - me, DH, DS (11), DD (6) and DM (refuses to tell her age).

We will arrive at MCO at about 3:30 p.m. on a Saturday. So we would be looking for our entertainment and dinner for a Saturday night. Are the buses to DTD better from one location than the other? Is the food court better at one?

Have never stayed at either one, nor visited.

We've been to both and I like Pop Century better. Both the food courts seemed very similar to me. We never had a problem with buses at either resort. I just really like Pop Century's themes better. It was fun to walk down memory lane and read all the signs. The kids loved everything there, but they are easy to please LOL.

My FI and I went to POP last spring, and we loved it. The food court was big, the arcade had up-to-date games (an important feature for FI), the pools were nice and the bus system was very fast.

We stayed at Pop Century in Oct. and it was wonderful. No complaints at all! The kids loved the pools and the playground. Rooms were imaculate! I would definitely stay there again! Food courts were great, tons of selections.

Hi Bev - I have Pop reserved for 5nights in Aug before we go to WL & later to BCV
I am hoping for a discount code to upgrade though

I have stayed at both and prefer POP. It's newer, the food court is better & you don't have to share bus transportation with any other resorts.

I think it depends on your kids. If they love the Dalmations, Fantasia, etc. definitely the ASMo. If they relate better to foosball, Lady and the Tramp, etc, then POP. Just FYI, you can pool hop between the All Stars.

Extended family traveling 7 adults and 5 kids ages 3,5,7 & 9. We are all staying at the All Star Movies...part of it is due to the cost. However, since we saved $$ staying at a value resort, we are splurging on the myw dining plan! We feel that the kids can relate better to the movies resort than pop.
