ASMo dirty? Now I am worried....

I am posting in the hopes that you can reassure me. My Sis was at ASMo last weekend in Dalmations. She knows we are staying there in March also, so she called me and said "I want to warn you that you will be disappointed. The resort rooms are looking tired and our bathroom was not Disney clean. There were even a couple of hairs in there and fixtures were filmy looking." I don't want to be grossed out in my Disney room, even if it is a value resort!!!
I asked her if she complained, and she said they were only there one night ( they are lucky FL residents) and were too tired.
Has anyone been there recently? I hope this was just a fluke

I wouldn't worry about your room not being clean...and if there are somethings that you don't feel comfortable with just call MouseKeeping for a touch up. I always try and remember to take some disinfectant wipes or spray for my on sense of cleanliness...(I saw that program about how clean any hotel, motel rooms are.) So I spray and wipe everything down, also fold back all bedspreads and blankets.

If your sister was only there for one night they wouldn't put her in the best room, but they should have put her in a clean room.

we have stayed at the Music at least 4 times and this past Aug we stayed at the Movies. Every thing was perfectly fine and clean with our room. We had the dalmation bldg right next to Fantasia. I actually thought we were the same distance if not a little closer than the preferred bldg. lol. Dont worry you will have a great time. if you have any problems go right to check in they are usually very very nice. have a great vacation.

lodgelady, I, personally, would not worry. Each Mousekeeper is an individual. Each has her/her own definition of clean. Your sister may have gotten a somewhat "slack" mousekeeper, while you may get one that cleans that room as if she or he "owned" it.

I visited my sister's room at ASMo a couple of years ago, while we were staying at BWV. I was paying $$$ to stay in a one bedroom villa that had a fungus growing in the shower, leaky kitchen sink, a rusty fridge, stuff growing in the coffeemaker, etc. Her room at Movies was spotless!! And, yes, she did let me check it all out, personally.

I have come to the conclusion that it is not the price of the resort (or level), but the individual mousekeeper that determines the cleanliness of the room.

I will bring the lysol wipes etc... but I am glad to hear that this is NOT the norm at the value resorts!
