Hi
I hope somebody here with experience can help me out.. the teen board is 90% freshmen, I think.
I'm applying to 4 schools (UMass Boston, Curry, St Anselm, UNH) and I'm already stressed out!
I asked my chem teacher to write my rec. but now realize that both Curry and St. Anselm have forms that the teacher needs to fill out. Not a prob for UNH or Umass, I can just send in whatever he types up for me. Here's my dilemma: is it wrong to ask my junior year math teacher to fill out BOTH rec. forms? Is that obnoxious/rude? Should I ask my counselor to fill out the Curry form (it's for counselors or teachers) and math to do St A's? Or find 2 teachers, one to do each form?
Also, I can't decide whether or not to apply online. UNH I def. will because they require Common App, and I've already filled it out. Just need to submit & snail mail my transcript and rec.
Curry has an online option (not Common App) but I'm not sure if I should fill out paper app's or just go the easy way - online? Then I'll have to mail the teacher rec form and transcripts...
And with St A's, I have an app. fee waiver, so not sure if I can use that with Common App? It's a piece of paper, so I wonder if I'm going to need to do the whole paper app thing? Because I think you need to submit payment before sending out Common App, so unless there's a way to indicate my paper waiver, I can't use that?
And my essay!
UNH/St A's have the "topic of your choice" option. So I was going to write about why I wanted to be a nurse, etc etc.
But Curry and Umass do not allow a "my choice" essay. Should I just write out 2, and send my choice to UNH and St A's, and the other (probably a person or event that has affected me, as that is an option for both App's) to Curry and Umass?
Thanks for any help, I know none of what I just wrote makes any sense.
