I'd like to hear from those who have stayed in the Family Suites at the ASM. Comments, thoughts?

Thanks!

Chris

Hi. I'm struggling(?) with the same decisions.

I don't have enough posts to include a link, but try allears.com Go to the "fact sheet"-- someone there has posted pictures.

I've checked out the allears.com info and was just hoping that someone here would post their personal opinions/experience. Sounds like you would benefit from this as well!

If you check the sticky threads at the top of this board you will fiind one called WDW Resort FAQ and Information Threads and look in there you will find a link called All Star Suites at All Star Music FAQ

The link below will take you to the All Star Suites at All Star Music FAQ thread...

We spent a night at ASM Family Suites, before checking in at OKW. We got back a week ago. I loved the two bathrooms, the size of the rooms were just fine. The kitchen area really came in handy for us. We were traveling with our DS age 20 and 24. They did report that the pull out beds were not all that comfortable. The queen size bed in the bedroom was very comfortable. Just ask, I will be glad to answer any questions you may have.

DH and I stayed in a Family Suite at All Star Music ( a value resort) last Sept. (2006)

We really enjoyed the Queen size bed, the kitchenette with the microwave, having a sofa and cushioned chair to sit on and relax after a day at the parks before retiring for the evening.

I thought the pullouts very comfortable.

They are designed so the back cushion and seat cushion of the pullout support the pullout. There is no meatle bar to hurt the sleepers back.

Have fun at Disney wherever you choose to stay!:wizard:

We stayed all the All Star Family Suites last Oct. I really liked the the room and how things were setup. So did my DH. Everything was new. Teens and young DD slept on the pullouts. No complaints about the pull out chair or ottoman, but my older DD did complain about the pull out couch. It looked slanted the wrong way (foot higher than head) and she slept with her head at the foot of the bed and made do. She would always prefer a regular bed rather than a pull out! I would consider bringing an aerobed next time just in case. We plan to stay again at the Family Suites!

I haven't stayed there, but the couple that writes the Disney Passporter book just stayed there recently and they say they "looooooved it."

It does look like a nice layout. We considered it for a stay, but we own DVC and ended up using points at a DVC resort. The concept of having a family arrangement (DVC) and kitchen, etc. at Disney is crucial to us.

Good luck!

I took my Girl Scout troop and stayed at ASM in June 2006, a couple weeks after they opened. In each room we had 4 girls aged 10 and 2 unrelated adults. They were VERY spacious rooms, the bed, couch bed and chair beds were all very comfortable. And having the two bathrooms and a sink between them was wonderful with plenty of towels. We didn't use the kitchen area much but the safe was a great asset too. There were no 'perks' or towel animals but everyone enjoyed their stay. Our room was on the bottom floor, facing away from the pool and there was no noise from the room above or outside. We were really close to the pool and the girls' LOVED swimming in the dark! The food court had really decent food. But keep in mind the resort does cater to groups so the lines can be very long at breakfast; seating was never a problem though and we were 12. Enjoy!
