I just reado n the Disney Secrets thread how you could ask to see the apartment behind the gallery above POTC. I also remember as a child being on the steamboat & my aunt asked if we could see the captains quarters....

I'm sure there's lots of tours we could ask for, especially if its a slow day - but with all the talk of rude CM's it makes me wary.

Anyone know of tours you can request (not for the entire park-just here or there) & how gracious the CMs are about it?

Hi -

We went to DL in April and just happened on to the gallery. A CM invited us on a tour that lasted about 1 hour. We got this fab tour for FREE - VERY informative. Got to see the balcony that everyone talks about for the balcony seating for Fantasmic. This was one of the highlights of our visit.

This trip was for our DS 5th Bday and we knew in advance to ask the CM that loads the Mark Twain if we could talk to the Captain for a visit to the quarters - The Captain happened to be standing right there and said SURE! be the last ones to board and follow me!!! So we did and she let our entire party of 7 up in the cabin and my DS got to "drive" the boat and sign his name in the guest book. What a thrill for ALL of us --- we took tons of photos and it was the one thing that our son talked most about when we returned home.

ALL of this was for FREE!!! What a PRICELESS expierence for a bunch of first timers!!! :cool1:
