Asking for a later rider swap return time

I read where you can ask the CM to give you a later return time for rider swap and they’ll let you pick a window within 24 hours. This would be very helpful if you have a dining reservation or if you need a break with young kids. Has anyone done this and if so what was your experience?

Over NYE we got two rider swaps and both were good until the end of the day...
