Well, this is a tough question. I think it depends on what kind of person you are, and what kind of person he is. My last boyfriend of two and a half years bought me a small gold claddaugh ring for our two month anniversary so that I could wear it on the inside showing that I was his and taken. For his birthday, after dating only 5 months, I bought him a stereo system. So we were the type of people to go all out because we wanted to be together for a while, we really and truly cared about each other, and we saw a long-er future together. I personally do NOT think that an autographed picture is too big of a gift. Even if he doesn't get you something just as good right away, he will DEF appreciate it, and will also hopefully get the HINT for the next occasion. But also remember, it is not only a "lot" but it is extremely thoughtful...you'd be surprised how much guys secretly appreciate how much the little stuff matters.

Should I feel bad?: No. You cannot help matters of the heart.
Even if him and his gf break up, is he still off-limits since he dated one of my best friends? No. If she says it is ok...and even so...she should not determine your happiness.
Should I tell him how I feel? I do not think so, personally. He is taken, AND your friend's ex-bf. That makes for a VERY difficult situation for you. If he was single, I might say yes, but you basically have EVERYTHING going against you. You are just setting yourself up for hurt. Find a guy who is worth your time and effort and affection. Additionally, you opened with "I THINK I am starting to like like...etc." This is serious uncertainty to jump into anything.

I believe the rest of the questions are answered by this. If you INSIST on talking to him and her...let me know.

If it is a simple, light whap or something...it could be out of love or perhaps the child doesn't realize that he or she HAS done something to upset the parent. It may be warranted. However, if the parent is often hitting, punching, slapping, or hurting a child for no apparent reason, that is child abuse, and a trusted adult should be consulted immediately.
