Dear Problemless,

Don't go looking for trouble. Enjoy your life in which there are no problems. There aren't many out there like you.

Dear Tyra,
My dad loves football, and recently my brother has been playing JV football. I have this weird feeling my dad likes my brother more then me. He makes an effort to agree with him, but he basically never takes my side. Having a very strong will, and having a dad with a very different opinion of everything, we get into a lot of fights. I want to have a good relationship with my dad, but we always disagree about everything, and he can sometimes be a jerk. What do I do to have a good relationship with a dad who can sometimes be someone with whom I don't want to have a good relationship?

Dear Tyra,
I NOW have a problem.I My dog keeps chasin his tail. WHAT should i do?

Dear Tyra,

 So I am in a group to do a project for my Euro class. The information was divided up among us (a group of three) like so: each person was assigned a time period, then had to write about the topics during it pertaining to the topic, then send the other two people their works cited page, info that they typed up, and info for powerpoint slides. One person is assembling the works cited, another an outline, and I'm assembling the powerpoint. Now the prob, we decided that since we are going to present on Wed, and we have a test tomorrow, we would try to have it all done by Mon (not on Mon.). Out of us three, one person will be selected from the group to present the whole project, even the info that they didn't do. This makes it imperative that we all get the info in time so we can memorize/ look it over. Buuuuuuuuuuuut, no one has sent me anything yet and this project was assigned on Tues. I sent them all the parts of my project on Fri, and I'm just a little upset because I don't want to stay up late tonight b/c of their laziness! Grrrr!

Okay, sorry that was a vent! :)

Signed,
Responsible Person Waiting to be Responsible

Dear Mama's Girl,

It is VERY rough to have a father who you want to have a relationship with, but he makes you very mad often. What you need to do, is step back, and realize that this is the only father you have. He LOVES you. Even though it may seem like he "favors" your brother more, he may just have more in common with him. Try setting aside some time alone with him. Ask him if he wants to go to breakfast on Saturday mornings; ask if he wants to go for a walk after dinner (depending on weather); try to sit and watch football WITH him; try to be involved more with his and your lil bro's activities (this works VERY well, from experience). If you are very strong willed, and so is he...try to compromise. If you find that you are getting very angry, remember that he is a person too...if he sees you compromising, he may try compromising himself. And remember...if you are feeling unappreciative...watch this...

Dear Originally Problemless,

I am not good with animals, but I would suggest watching "Dog Whisper" on Animal Planet to get ideas for how to train dogs. Hope that helps!

Dear Responsible Person Waiting to be Responsible,

WOW do I hate it when that happens!!! I have TONS of personal experience in this. Half the time, I have to end up being the one doing most of the work. The only way it gets done is if you jump down their throats about it. They may resent your million phone calls/IMs that night and the next day, but they will love you the day they all get A's. Sorry this was too late for this project, but try that next time.

Love,
Tyra

WooHoo! :cool1:

Now I just have to think of some questions to ask! :thumbsup2

Dear Tyra,

I want to get my boyfriend an autographed picture of Zach Braff for Valentine's Day. (he REALLY loves Zach Braff). THe thing is, we've only been dating a little over a month, and I'm wondering if that's too much to get him.

I also wonder if he will feel bad because that's a pretty big gift, and I don't know what he'll get me. (I know that sounds like I'm greedy and want him to get me something good, but honestly I just don't want him to feel bad.) I've got the whole 'I saw it and I absolutely had to get it for you thing' going. BUT, I'm just not sure if that's going too far.

Any advice?

Sincerly,
Girl-whose-boyfriend-loves-Zach-Braff-more-than-her.

I need to kill about 15 minutes, what shoudl I do?

<3-bored and waiting.

Dear Girl-whose-boyfriend-loves-Zach-Braff-more-than-her,

Well, this is a tough question. I think it depends on what kind of person you are, and what kind of person he is. My last boyfriend of two and a half years bought me a small gold claddaugh ring for our two month anniversary so that I could wear it on the inside showing that I was his and taken. For his birthday, after dating only 5 months, I bought him a stereo system. So we were the type of people to go all out because we wanted to be together for a while, we really and truly cared about each other, and we saw a long-er future together. I personally do NOT think that an autographed picture is too big of a gift. Even if he doesn't get you something just as good right away, he will DEF appreciate it, and will also hopefully get the HINT for the next occasion. But also remember, it is not only a "lot" but it is extremely thoughtful...you'd be surprised how much guys secretly appreciate how much the little stuff matters.

I hope this helped. If you have more detailed questions...please please ask. I'd love to help as much as possible.

Love,
Tyra

Dear bored and waiting,

Sorry I didn't get back to you in time. But for next time: begin writing a story, talk to people online, surf myspaces, comment on Ash's myspace (HAHA jk), begin reading a book, d/l a random song and listen to it, look up lyrics, do a dance, flip channels, run around your house 15 times...

Just to name a few.
Need any more?
Just ask

Love,
Tyra

Dear Tyra,

I hate awkward elevator moments. So why is it that whenever I enter an elevator I have the divine urge to look at the random person next to me and say, "Hey, wanna smell something weird?"

Sincerely,
Random Girl

Dear Tyra,

This happened to me..I live in Hawaii and these tourists I saw in a elevator at the mall obviously thought they were surfers and were trying to hit on me by talking like "Dude..Thats Knarly"

Dear Hates Wannabe surfers,

Take tourist comments with a grain of salt. They can't help being intruiged by you and your society and exotic location. People often don't feel themselves on vacation. Also, I am insanely jealous that you live in Hawaii...how do you get anything done? I'd never ever be able to concentrate. :goodvibes

Love,
Tyra

Tyra,

I keep hearing this annoying beaping noises where ever I go, what shall I ever do!!

Lol..I get used to it
And my swim coach makes me to tired to do anything.

Dear Annoyed,

Solution 1)Get an IPOD and listen to it constantly until the noise goes away
Solution 2)See a Doctor immediately

Dear Tyra,

I asked for advice on the LOTP thread, and I got some good advice, but I was hoping for a little more.

I think I am starting to like like my best friends' ex. But he already has a gf, and I know on the this board right now we have a lot of threads about relationship stuff, but I just really want your advice.

Should I feel bad?
Even if him and his gf break up, is he still off-limits since he dated one of my best friends?
How should I, if I, tell him how I feel?
Should I tell him how I feel?
When, if I, should I tell him how I feel?
What, if anything, should I tell his ex? (one of my best friends)

Thanks in advance

Sincerely,
Confused
