And it was a pretty bad one. She rolled my car end over end. And walked away from it with just a few scratches. She walked away from it. I'm just so thankful she walked away from it.
She said someone pulled out from a side road coming toward her and they swerved into her lane. She went off the road on the right and then over corrected and rolled the car on the left side of the road. She said she was only going about 45mph (the police told us that 'speed was not a factor' and they estimated she was going 50 mph before measuring). The police said in Kentucky we have a 'no contact, no foul' law and that the driver of the other car will not be held responsible in any way even if he/she had stopped (they did not).
I can't believe Ashli is ok after this bad a wreck. She is cut up and bruised but she didn't even require medical care at the scene. When we got home she took a shower to wash all the glass out of her hair and I put some neosporin on a cut she got on her hand when she crawled back into the car (it was upside down and some of the windows were broke out, glass was everywhere) to get the cell phone to call us, she didn't even get cut when she climbed out of the car the first time. Of course we keep asking her if she feels ok and is she sure she doesn't want to go to the hospital to be checked out.
But she's ok. That's all that keeps running through my mind right now.

Oh, my gosh!!!!!!!!! I am so glad that she is fine! That is so frightening! I am so glad she is ok.
(((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))) for you both!

Lisa

I am so happy to hear that she is fine. What a miracle for sure. My daughter had a similar experience when driving last year and I can hear that phone call in my ears still. My thoughts are with you both.

{{{{{ hugs}}}}} hugs to you and Ashli. I'm glad she is okay. how scary for both of you!!!

Keli, How frightening! Glad she's okay! Sounds like someone was watching over her!:D

I am so glad she is ok.

I have a 17 yo DD who is driving and this is one of my worst fears.

How frightening! Glad to hear she is ok though.

Sounds like she was buckled up! Something I hope my kids continue to do when they go through the teen years and are on their own. I am so glad she is ok.:D

Sounds like she had an angel riding on her shoulder! Glad to hear she is OK.

Glad Ashli it OK. being a mom that is a horrible thing to go through.

I'm so happy to hear that she was not seriously injured. As a teen, I was involved in a rollover with my bf on an icy curvy road and that is a very scary situation even though it's over in a second. I'll bet she couldn't believe what had just happened to her.

Sounds like a very strong young woman you've raised, she could have been hysterical after something like this, but she managed to crawl in and get the phone to call you. (HUGS)

Me too. :(

SO glad she is OK!!

Teenagers and cars...every parent's worst nightmare. Thank God that your DD is okay. It's a tribute to automotive engineering that people can walk away with such minor injuries after such a nasty wreck. Be sure to give her lots of {{gentle hugs}} todays. She'll surely be very sore.

I am sorry to hear of her accident and glad she is okay (((hugs))

I'm so sorry to hear of that. This is every parent's nightmare - no matter how careful a driver you think they are, things like this happen. I know from experience - My DS had an almost rollover accident 10 days after getting his license. If the tree wasn't where it was, he would have rolled over an embankment. Thank God for seatbelts. Both my kids are faithful users of seatbelts as they know what can happen. At least you can be assured your DD will always wear her seatbelt!

Thank God Ashli is okay, Keli. What a scare for all. And yes, she sure must have been belted in. So often we read of ejections in such crashes, initially survivable, but ultimately not. Sure do hope she takes you up on your suggestion to get checked over at doc or hospital, some things can be not too apparent but there just the same. {{Hugs}} for her, and you.

Dan

I'm so glad she is ok....I hope she is still feeling ok this morning...sometimes the day after you feel sore.

Im glad your daughter is OK
But I HATE the no fault states. Did the driveer of the other car even know Ashli had an accident?
