And it was a pretty bad one. She rolled my car end over end. And walked away from it with just a few scratches. She walked away from it. I'm just so thankful she walked away from it.
She said someone pulled out from a side road coming toward her and they swerved into her lane. She went off the road on the right and then over corrected and rolled the car on the left side of the road. She said she was only going about 45mph (the police told us that 'speed was not a factor' and they estimated she was going 50 mph before measuring). The police said in Kentucky we have a 'no contact, no foul' law and that the driver of the other car will not be held responsible in any way even if he/she had stopped (they did not).
I can't believe Ashli is ok after this bad a wreck. She is cut up and bruised but she didn't even require medical care at the scene. When we got home she took a shower to wash all the glass out of her hair and I put some neosporin on a cut she got on her hand when she crawled back into the car (it was upside down and some of the windows were broke out, glass was everywhere) to get the cell phone to call us, she didn't even get cut when she climbed out of the car the first time. Of course we keep asking her if she feels ok and is she sure she doesn't want to go to the hospital to be checked out.
But she's ok. That's all that keeps running through my mind right now.
