Hello! We are planning our spring trip dates and I have run into three holidays and wondering if anyone know's how they affect crowds.

If we went in begining of May we would be going to disneyland monday May 7th, the week of may day, and the day before ve day... any crowd reports from that time??

Secondly, we would be in Paris over Ascension day and going to Disneyland May 21st, the Monday after that holiday, or Friday the 18th, the day after the holiday...how are the crowds that weekend?? I understand people from surrounding countries vacation in paris that weekend. Any help would be welcome.

Hello :)

Avoid if at all possible the weekend including the 17/18/19/20 May as it is very busy busy

All the May public holidays are busy and even more so when they fall on a Thursday or a Tuesday as we all take a Friday or a Monday off and make 4 day weekends

Plus you have school holidays in May and everyone has to use up their holidays before the end of May which leads to very few people working in May and busy tourist sites.

No idea what school holidays or public holidays the rest of Europe have in May this year

You mention the week of May day ? In France May day is the 1st of May and not the first Monday in May like in the UK

I'd be going either the 2nd to the 4th or the 9th to the 11th or the 14th to the 16th or after that the 21st to the 25th as after that it's Pentecoste and another long weekend :lmao:

thank you!!! for the advice!! I will try to do Disneyland May 3, 4th or 7th first. I wanted the trip to be end of May, but looks like the holiday will make it just too busy. We only have 1 day for disneyland and I want to get as much in as possible, so crowds would hinder that. If we go on holiday the end of april-may 8th, we will be in Normandy for May 1st and the tour we want to go on is running that day, so that might work well, and then come into Paris on May 2nd.

If you've only got the one day definetly avoid the weekends and holidays and go around them

You are never going to get to see everything as it is without having to deal with the crowds :goodvibes
