We're staying at the AS Music. We're spending Sunday 9/23 at the MK. The park closes at 7 and we have reservations for Hoop de Doo at 9:30.

How should we get around that day?

We have a car, so we could drive to MK, go back to the car and drive to Fort Wilderness.

But we'd rather not drive if we didn't have to.

We could take the Bus in the morning, then take the boat to Fort Wilderness. It would give us a chance to see Wilderness Lodge on the way. But how would we get back after Hoop de Doo. It will be close to midnight, so what will be running? Can we take a bus to TTC and transfer to an AS bus or will we have to fo through DTD? Will this take too long? Or should we just drive? We don't want to be out too late that night.

What do you recommend?

This is a problem trip by bus. Easy to get to FW from MK but will be tough getting back to AS. You would take bus to TTC, then bus to Downtown Disney, then bus to AS (with all those busses expect 1 1/2 hour trip or possibly more). Best shot--drive to MK. Leave car there. Boat over to FW from MK after it closes. On return, take bus from FW to TTC and return to car.

I agree with dsruba. Park at the TTC. When the HDD is over there will be a bus outside going to the TTC, and you can walk to your car from there.

BTW, the transportation folks recognize that getting home late at night via Pleasure Island is not exactly a fun experience. Therefore, whenever sufficient buses are available they send floater buses to FW for guests exiting the 9:30 show. These buses will get you back to your resort. Usually they combine the resorts, so AS guests might share a bus with AKL guests for instance. But the extra buses are not always available so to be sure, park at TTC.

The best way to get to Hoop de Doo is by boat. Take the boat from MK or Contemporary, you're there within 10 min. The boat drops you right there. If you take the bus or drive, you'll need to take another bus to the dock where HDD is. And the boat ride is very relaxing. We stayed at AS too when we have HDD dinner... Make sure you allow enough time though if you decide to drive there.

Thanks for the help. I guess we'll park at TTC and boat over to FW, maybe stopping at WL along the way. Hopefully we can park close enough so we don't have to walk a long way at night when there are no parking lot trams. At least it will be easy to find the car at that hour!
