pas, you know I adore the GF, but my DH and I really like staying at the BC. The Boardwalk at night is great, we spend time walking the countries in EPCOT... it's a different vibe than the GF and staying at a MK resort, but it is wonderful. Now, that I have said that...you will change! Hope you are feeling better, more optimistic about things

The Boardwalk at night is great, we spend time walking the countries in EPCOT... it's a different vibe than the GF and staying at a MK resort, but it is wonderful. I like the idea of January at WDW I like the idea of WL too...but I want November...and HRH is not completely giving up on her birthday. But she wants EVERYONE to go Maybe if a airfare sale...who knows.

I had my 1st shift alone at my new job...surfed the DIS, had a LONG nap, watched some TV...checked the ambulance 3x...never got a call...much different than what I'm used to

DH keeps saying BC is so close to IG and that is his favorite thing. plus the sandy pool But he said I'll change it, I always do...

Good morning Resort Changers!

Who else watched their hometown fireworks last night and was totally disappointed that it wasn't Wishes, LOL? I can't watch fireworks without a soundtrack anymore, it just doesn't work for me.

When we watched the fireworks on the cruise, we were a bit disappointed. Not really sure what we were expecting...but it certainly wasn't Wishes....not that it could be....it's a ship, right??

Heather Welcome back. The Dream is beautiful isin't she. Are you planning any more cruises?

Thanks! We had an awesome time!!!! I was very tempted to book another cruise while on board, but not sure about our schedule since I'm in grad school. Another cruise is definitley in the future, though!! I'm thinking the Fantasy or maybe the Alaska cruise when the kids are a few years older.

I did change my ticker. After the Dec trip I'll have 10 months to save up for the cruise and WDW next October. I think I may need all 10 months. I would love to sneak another short trip in there somewhere. We'll see what happens. I have given up on making long term plans anymore. I'm going to try to think about one trip at a time.

I'm so not buying this I'll just sip my coffee and wait for the next change....

Ok getting ready for another change. I know your all shocked by this. I'm having second third and tenth thoughts about making two trips in 6 weeks. My dh really wants to go in Dec. He's willing to take unpaid time off to go. He's going to see if he can move his Oct vacation to Dec, and then we can take one long Dec trip. Availability is not a problem in Dec, and flying standby is easy peasy this time of year.... so stay tuned. Then I can make my Spring trip and cruise next Fall...hmm so much for not long term planning.

Weather is still nice here. Very humid today. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a good monsoon season.

Heather Did you get a chance to visit Atlantis. We had a great day at the beach there.

MM I know I'll never change my changing ways. I can't wait until you start changing your April trip.

So shocked...I actually just hung up with CRO....checking availability of AKL CL and ahem GF...sorry HRH, couldn't do it. Said thank you, I can't. The CM giggled also said BWI CL available....really...like I need another choice A longer trip versus 2 trips.....from Az, I'd do the longer trip too

Pas: Have you changed yet or is BC-CL still on the itinerary? You all move to fast for my brain to keep track! Yes, funnel cakes and drinks... and Sunken Treasures (which I haven't tried yet but I'm willing to be a guinea pig... you know, for science and all that. )

In other exciting (note the tinge of sarcasm) news, we're getting our new fridge delivered tomorrow. I'd normally be mildly enthusiastic for something new and shiny but our last appliance delivery left us with a gas leak.

It sounds like everyone is having hotter than normal weather, and we're having cooler than normal. Dec is nice. I prefer October weather. I'm a little concerned about activating my Ap's in October. It leaves a very short window for the cruise. The prices are cheapest in the Fall, but I'd rather not go in Aug/Sep. If I activate them in December I have all of Oct/Nov and first part of Dec to choose a cruise. Of course we wan't to visit WDW when we do our cruise. It's very hard long term planning. I can take off whenever I want, but my dh has to bid on his vacation weeks. I'm seriously confused.

We we're looking at fridges yesterday. I hate spending money on boring non- vacation stuff.

We cruised on Royal Carr. a couple of years ago and went over to the Atlantis. So this go round, we stayed on the ship. My parents and sister got off, but we really didn't have a desire to see Nassua again. The boat was super empty...which equals super nice

We did go in October and December last year. Our December trip was spur of the moment with 1 week to plan. It's much easier when for me when I don't have a long time to think about things. Have I mentioned how much a hate long term planning. I'd go next week if I could.

Hello everyone! Lots to catch up on today! We just changed our 2013 Dream cruise date to Dec. 8. I thought the first week at WDW would not be that great of a choice seeing as that week is historically Pop Warner, and potentially that Saturday (the 7th) could be the taping of the x-mas parade.

So that is that, I feel better about the second week. This was me quickly explaining to DH why we had to change the date ! Maybe a better chance of discounts too. As of last night I was still asking DH whether or not he wants to downgrade this Sept trip to POR, to save lots of $$$ that we could put in the kitty for next years 2 trips. But he is staying strong, and saying we deserve the Poly this year for our anniversary. How can i disagree? It is just so hard for frugal me.....I feel this need to save money!!! At all times!!

When I told DH that I wanted to change he convinced me that we should split with WL CL since those are the only two CLs we have yet to try. No WL deluxe rooms were availale with the BB, so it's 2 rooms at both resorts. I really hope we get connecting rooms!

Let's see how long the great lodge CL split lasts! I think this one has good staying power

Stay with the Poly!!!!! Also, somewhere on the DisBoards is a place to check staterooms on the ships...gives reviews of the rooms. When I find the link I'll post it for you.

Heather I plan and unplan over and over again.What I don't do is plan what I am going to do when I get there. Other than my dinner reservations I keep things free and easy. It's deciding when to go, where to stay, and how much to spend that leads to my craziness. If we didn't have AP's I would go in May every year, and split between Poly and BC. It would be so easy. It's the multiple trips that makes my head spin. It's kind of fun, but probably not for the Cm's in the interline office.

Everytime I make a reservation I have to fax my dh's ID. The last time I forgot, and they called me and told me not to worry about it. They know me and could get it off one of my other reservations.I can only imagine what they say about me.

Seriously guys this is my final ticker for my last 2012 trip. 10 nights in Dec with an even split between WL CL and BC CL. No October trip. I really wish the 2013 rates were not coming out next week. I'm not ready to go down that road yet.

I was surprised how much cheaper Wl CL is than Poly cl. My kids don't like Akl or WL, but I they'll stay anywhere for CL. I'll have to check out Heathers TR.


Ok so ticker changed again. I went with a semi generic ticker for Spring. I haven't a clue. I will have to change my Oct trip to April or May when rates are released. I figured why cancel and repay the deposit when I can just move it over 6 months.
