Nothing to report here. Hubs has just left for his 10 day work thingamajig. It's times like this I'm reminded how flippin' tough it is for single parents -- huge respect. I feel so lucky. (Also, I'm trying not to be mopey. ) I foresee bad things for breakfast and wine for dessert for the next 10 days.

Might try and get my kiddo to sit down and watch Beauty and the Beast for the first time. Or something else... if she can manage to pay attention for longer than 15 minutes! Only movies she's made it through are Lilo & Stitch, Toy Story 3 and Robin Hood.

JC Moving possibly? Not for the next couple of years. We will wait it out and see what happens when they exit bankruptcy. My dh can commute for a year or so. It's only a hour flight to LA and he can camp at his parents 3 nights a week. We haven't told them yet., but I'm sure they've figured it out. His poor parents. Dallas and Miami are our choices if we have to move.

Yes send some positive Wl Cl vibes. I actually love the resort. It's those small rooms that I have a hard time with.

I'm taking my furbaby to the Treat Truck tomorrow! It's the Best Friends Pet Care truck so I'm really excited! Maybe I'll bring my furbaby with me to WDW in January and have her stay at the Best Friends Pet Care.

It has been a long grueling day, but I finally have some good news. I heard back from the doctor five minutes ago and Lily's platelets have increased from 56,000 to 183,000! So far, so good. We will get her SED rate back in the morning. I am so impressed by this doctor. She called me at 11:45 at night just to give me results. What a fantastic, caring doctor. She has been very thorough, and as a bonus she is a Disneyphile. They own DVC at OKW!

Thank you for all your prayers, well wishes, and pixie dust. I haven't been posting but I have been reading and your kind words have gotten me through this last week. I love you all immensely.

I am so happy to hear that Lily is doing well! The doctor sounds wonderful and very caring! She sounds like the vet my parents I go to for my furbaby. He made sure we knew the results as soon as possible as well as made sure her surgery went smoothly.

Good doctors are hard to come by. Great doctors are like mythical creatures. I was so grateful when this doctor was talking to me because you could just tell she really knew what she was talking about and cared. I'm sure you felt the same way with your furbaby!

They really are! I am so grateful there are good and great doctors out there! The place we take our furbaby for her regular check ups called us to see how she was doing which we were extremely grateful for. It showed they really cared. I can't believe it's been two months since her surgery. I am so happy you are happy with this doctor.

I've been out of the loop for a couple of weeks...was going to jump back in yesterday but the phone lines and internet were out. We had a really bad storm on Sunday...lots of people without power. We didn't get our phones/internet back until last night.

Looks like LOTS has been going on...I'll have to go back and read the details.

You'll find good reviews too, but based on the bad ones I would never entrust my furbaby them. I had to say something because I know how much you care....and she has been through so much already.

We got the call at 11:45 so I didn't want to bother you in case you were asleep. . I am SO relieved. I really don't think she has Kawasaki virus either. I will find out in about an hour though.

The doctor said she was held up with a parent yesterday. Perfectly excusable. I'm a worried parent too and I know I appreciated all the time she spent talking to me. It was funny because as soon as I took Lily out for a walk because she was getting restless they called us in. I said if I knew that was all it would take I would have walked out earlier!

On a lighter subject, I wanted to share a little bit of happy news:

DD decided on, ordered, and now received her violet wedding dress. I am so proud I managed to keep my mouth shut (with questions, concerns) and just be happy with her, because she sent me a photo and it's beautiful! She is absolutely thrilled with her dress, and that's what all brides should be.
And yet again, I've been reminded of this--Sometimes smiling, breathing and listening is far wiser than offering my (likely unhelpful) opinion.

Sending a friendly RC wave to Janet, Minnie, GG, Chimo2u, Jenny, Pas, Hannah, Shiela and the rest of the RCers I've missed!

We need a picture! I want to see a violet wedding dress it sound gorgeous. And you sound like a GREAT mom!

I didn't take it that way at all. I generally don't talk about life stuff on these boards. I like talking about Disney planning. Whatever you want to post about is great. People are very supportive on this thread no matter what you wan't to talk about.

I haven' t read any reviews of the WDW Best Friends but I am surprised. BF took over the local kennel we used for years with Bella and our previous dog and I have to say their service is top notch.

Thanks Christine! Good to be home...now it's back to the real world Super hot here, too. Yesterday was better than the weekend. The rain helped to cool things off. Still have people without power, so hopefully those storms will stay away.

Love this picture....getting me very excited for our first cruise!! Can't wait to hear all about your whole trip! I am considering renting points to stay at AKL in May...not CL but DH would love to stay there. Not sure because May is supposed to be a trip on the "cheap" though!

Yes, they used to get much better reviews before BF took over...have you used it since then? I read some good reviews, but the bad ones were so bad, but I could never take a chance.
