We have 10 days booked in a deluxe room at the BC in the fall. I am considering making a change and doing a split stay with our original room for the first 5 nights and either CL at the GF (my favorite) or CL at the WL for the second 5 nights. KOOK is influencing my decision since she is so positive about the WL. I can make the change using the BB offer so I have to do it before I leave Sunday. Thoughts?

Sarah, as much as we love BC and BC deluxe rooms (and that's a lot!) we'd definitely split between BC and something else. But that's probably not worth much because we can't stay put in one place for long under any circumstances! Can't comment on WL vs. GF because so far, we've only stayed at WL.

Well, just got off the phone with my easiest CRO call ever! Nice friendly and efficient CM downgraded tickets from 5 day PH to 4 day base, saved almost $270 ......I asked about the PHer thing, if I buy now, all four of us have to add it on, if I wait until we are there, I can buy just for the boys! So I will wait and see if we need the extras. I hope POLY Concierge can help me add if needed. But the change brought my total to $5236 from $5504... Minus my deposit, we only owe $5036 now! WOOHOOO! I like balances that go dooowwwwwn

Pas, I love Poly so much and the direct monorail to both Epcot and MK is a big selling point for me, so I'm likely to always choose Poly if staying in the MK area. But I just told the boys that if (or I should say WHEN) we go to MNSSHP some day, CR would be a great choice! I love to walk and the ability to just walk out of MK and back to your room at CR after the party will be wonderful!

Tell me more about WL refurbished rooms! Our oldest proposed adding a WL night to our split stay next year, but we'd need a deluxe room to fit all five of us.

Check out Kook's thread, she updated pg.1 with the refurb info. Right now they are doing the 7th floor...with possible discounts it might end up about the same for 2 CL rooms (just in case the deluxe rooms aren't completed) Im glad you and DS had a great time, and I didn't think SAB looked all that bad.... Just to catch you up on my end. I was Poly/RPC, and MIL is now coming along, so I booked her a separate room...The only deluxe I could afford to do that was WL/BC/YC/BWI...since most of my plans are at MK...it was an easy decision. Combined with Kook's TR....easy peasy! The IPO have been fabulous, although they know my shenanigans since WL/Poly share the IPO

POFQ was a nice moderate - I loved the small size and the theming (which surprised me - very nice!) The pool was a little crazy when we were there, but it's Spring Break, so that's to be expected. Bus service was OK - loved the rope drop bus that went straight to the park, but the later afternoon bus to Epcot made all the POR stops and that took a while. Our room was a GV in building 3, and the location was perfect. I think it might be my favorite moderate.

I'm glad that you to hear that you liked POFQ. Looks like we will be there for 2 nights at the beginning of our trip this year. It'll be our first time staying there. I was thinking of putting in a request for building 3 or 4.....happy to hear that you liked 3!

After trying to log in like 30 times, I finally did, and was chuckml but then refreshed and I'm me again... I sure hope the boards work out the kinks soon!!!

So, I went vacation/summer clothes shopping for the girls today!!! Got some great deals at the Children's Place. They are going to love the little outfits I got, and they should stay "cool" in the hot FL sun come July. I also got them super cute sunglasses. I'm still debating on what type of shoes to get for them, and I need to make a decision soon so I can get them and they can start wearing them and break them in.

Still pondering my resort choices here...any input from the peanut gallery would be considered. But, I am really loving the idea of getting a refurbed room at WL...

Wilderness Lodge is just lovely. I can just sit in the lobby and enjoy all there is to see, nice way to spend a bit of time.
The geyser is very cool, and the pool is fantastic. I love the sound of the waterfall there. We like the boat access to MK, too.
Roaring Forks is great (lots of options) for a quick bite, and Artist Point is fabulous for a nice dinner.

(The only reason we aren't there this fall is because of Food and Wine. We like to walk to Epcot. Otherwise, it would be WL. )

Of all the resorts I am considering, my DD's are LEAST interested in the Poly.... Maybe that's why it's hard for me to get excited about it. Plus, clearly the monorail issues are still (and still going to be) an issue...I'd rather not be assessed a premium for something that I may or may not be able to use. If I pay for buses, I know I'll get them. . I feel WL is a great value...and especially if I get a brand new room.

Thanks, Amanda! Since I was stroller-free with a five-year-old, that short walk from the bus to our room was essential! I really think it's a good choice when booking in the moderate category. GV was absolutely worth the small extra cost.

No more bedspreads - they're being replaced with duvet/comforters! I think our flagship resort, GF and Poly might be the only hold-out after September?
