Wanted to say hello and hope everyone has a good rest of the week and stays warm.

Not much here - just tweaking with a few things (trying to work toward better times) and helping my sister as her wedding approaches. The next 10 weeks are crazy as my sister's Big Day, Pack-out, Disney, 10th Anniversary, and getting ready to move all fall in that window. YIKES!

As we close in on 30 days to my trip, I'm sure I will be on here freaking out with whatever spare moments I can find. I hope everyone's planning is going well

Thanks for the advice on CL & my dining choices. I've pretty much made up my mind when it comes to the YC/BCV part of my stay, it's the rest of it I can't make up my mind. I have it down to about 4 places though. But it will have to wait to see if an AP discount for then would change any of those 4 choices. Most of my dining choices are also always under scrutiny lol. With a couple of exceptions that is.

Just wishing a happy Friday to everyone!

My parents are FINALLY taking my advice and spending time at Disney while in Orlando (only took lots of prodding!) They went to BB yesterday (which I am super jealous about since it's FREEZING here) and spent today touring the deluxes. So far, they have loved two of my dining recs - Raglan Rd and The Wave - and enjoyed the CR gingerbread house more than the one at GF.

Nothing new about our trip. Life just keeps finding new ways of making me need my trip to hurry and get here. The hubby and I went back to playing World of Warcraft and with the new expansion, we've been so busy. The DH thought he could cancel my girls only trip because the Star Wars game we play has an expansion that comes out while I'm in Disney. He's such a silly man.

I'll keep the changes going! We booked WL CL for the beginning of Spring Break and AOA for the end of Spring Break. (I said no deluxe for Easter Weekend because I just don't feel it's a good value and boys initially wanted to try AOA. So we had AOA booked - Little Mermaid. Yesterday, my parents made some changes to their marathon weekend plans and CBR came up as part of that discussion. Both our teens asked if we could change to CBR for Easter Weekend. Our youngest was not on board. We told him about the CBR pirate splash pad and pool slide. Done!

Looking to make one more change - my parents are at POFQ for marathon weekend - looking for a good discount on Poly CL so that we can treat them to a room in our resort the last night. Please wish me luck!

P.S. I think I know the answer to this, but I can't book a room for them using my AP discount even if I pay for the room - is that right?

Hi ladies! Haven't checked in for a little bit but all is well! We're just gearing up for the holidays and yesterday we put up our tree. Crazy? Of course but we went for it and now it's one less thing we need to do.

Sorry everyone, no exciting ch-ch-changes to our trip. Still at Poly I am considering doing a VWL resale....considering

DH will be having next surgery right before Thanksgiving, between school and work things are but I try to lurk from time to time and pigletgirl we have started decorating too

Yay for still at Poly in August!! Did you hear they took away the Boutiki Tiki?? replaced him with the DVC desk ugh. Just read it today on Tikiman.
Hope DH's surgery goes well.
I'm still home recovering from my knee replacement, going to Physio 2x a week. It's a hard surgery.

Saw all the check-ins and thought I should do the same! Too many changes to explain in detail, but we've changed a ton. In January, we're 1 night AKL CL, 2 nights GF CL (but changed to SL) and five nights Poly CL. Changed ADRs in response to a birthday boy request for Chef Mickey's, changed FP+ a few times.

Changed spring break plans (both resorts and ADRs) about five times, and settled on WL CL for the beginning, then beach, then AOA at the end. I caved and decided to scratch the "resort only" idea and renew APs - I'll want to run a half marathon in 2016, so might as well get the APs again and enjoy park time during spring break. It all triggers ADR changes . . .

We GF & AKL CL. Love Poly too but haven't tried their CL. Yay for AP renewal!

For us it's too early, but I never judge people on how early they put up their Christmas decorations since I kept mine up one year until St. Patrick's Day just because I it looked too pretty to put up.



I'll keep in my prayers that all goes well.

Have you thought about doing a split stay? If her birthday is at the end of the trip, you could start it out at the CR and then change to the Poly for her birthday.

I'm sorry I've been MIA, but life keeps finding more and more ways of getting even more insane. We moved my bil and nephew back into the house my bil shared with his now exwife. Then on Sunday, while on the way to buy the ingredients to make Le Cellier's mushroom risotto, I got into a minor wreck. No one was hurt. The other car just looked like someone slammed their car door into their car, like when someone parks too close to another car. My minivan just had a little minor damage to the area around the front passenger tire. The way my DH explained it to me was the plastic on my minivan met the metal on the SUV and the SUV won. When it happened, I called my inlaws to let them know I didn't know how long I would be. I told them I was fine and not to come up. Well luckily they didn't listen and brought my DH to me. When I first saw him, I'll admit, I dropped a "F" bomb (which he said he saw me say). I was just afraid he was going to yell at me. He still hasn't even raised his voice. He's just so happy the minivan is drive-able and no one was hurt. I didn't notice until today that the incident with the kid with the crazy mom and the accident both happened on the 9th. From now on, I will not drive on the 9th day of any month. It is obviously a bad day for me.

As far as the trip, in less than three weeks, I'll be in WDW!! Now the rest of the week, I just have to knit, take my minivan to the insurance companies place to see how much it will cost to fix it, and go see my doctor to see why I have had a migraine for the better part of two to three months.

Congrats on your new puppy! We just welcomed our new puppy (a beagle) last month and we love her!! She's a ton of work - lots of puppy energy - but also really snuggly when she crashes. So excited for her first Christmas. Good luck and have fun!

No changes to my girls only trip. This time next week my friend and I will be driving to WDW. Now I just have to get through Thanksgiving and get packed.

Yesterday did my FP+ res for January ️POR trip, what a long process I don't know why we can't just pick our desired times in the beginning from a drop down menu instead of having to pick from Option A, B, C etc groupings, then go back in to re arrange times to your liking. .

I also did online check in for first room. We have a 10 day stay, and split it between 2 types of rooms. Our first 5 days in a Royal Room with AP discount, then move to regular room with another magical discount! So 2 reservations.

I'm excited to check out the Royal rooms, and my daughter doesn't know she's been hinting around about them since they opened.

On the happier news front, we are making a short trip down to AKL in Feb. Delta allowed me to use our flights from Oct for other dates, as long as it was before April. No parks this trip. Jambo House is the perfect place for us to rest, relax and recharge.

I am so ready to go!! Only approx 4 day 20 hours and 29 minutes (at the time I posted this) until my flight leaves DFW airport. I just need to get caught up on laundry and get packed. I have everything in a box in our closets, I just need to put it in my suitcase.

I know! I wonder why it's structured that way. We've made a ton of FP+ changes lately and I can imagine how much more difficult it would be for those of us not reading all the tip/suggestions here! Decided that we'll just do our snack around World Showcase on arrival day (our oldest son's request) and then DHS later in the trip so that our youngest son has a chance to register for JEDI Training Academy. I've avoided it since the trip years ago when they picked our middle son to participate, but not our identically dressed and equally enthusiastic older son. Our oldest son handled it like a dream, but we felt awful for him. Like the new system of signing up, but FP+ for it would be even better!

We'll be so excited to hear about the Royal Room surprise!!!

Great plan - so happy for you!!! We stayed at AKL a for short non-parks visit in 2011 - it really is perfect. The dining options are fantastic, the ability to use two different pools is wonderful, and the fact that we're not right next to a park that the kids can see . . . that helps too.

We may not be finished with those changes, as our oldest son is auditioning for another play and if he is cast, he will need to miss a significant part of our trip. If that happened, I'd add at least a day to the front end of the trip. I'm sure the other boys wouldn't mind staying an extra day, right? And then we could get our oldest to more of his favorites before he would need to fly home on the day we transfer to his favorite resort - Poly. But it's a very small cast and several upperclassmen are auditioning, so we'll see how it turns out.

Pixarmom I hear you on that, it's great that now you can sign up. At Universal last August even my 24 yr old daughter was disappointed that she wasn't picked for the Wand! She hid it well, but I know how much she hoped to be picked. But they always pick the young ones it seems.
