? AS Sports & buses

I was able to get an AP rate for Sports for Dec 3-12. I have never stayed at an All Star before and heard the bus service can get pretty crowded and long. I was wondering if anyone has been there at this time of the year and how you found the bus wait to be. I also saw that you can request a hair dryer, etc...how about a coffee maker? The All Stars are a good value, but I was wondering if I should try to get Coronodo or Animal Kingdom, if AP rate availability opens up. Thanks!
