As rates drop do you just cancel and re-book Alamo car?

My rates keep dropping on my car rental for March. In January I booked at 350 for 12 days. Then it went down to 270. Now it is 255. Do I just keep cancelling and rebooking or how often can you do that?

Yes, just keep cancelling & rebooking, but be sure you keep track to make sure you cancel the ones you're not using. I've cancelled 10 so far for our upcoming trip!

I always have rebooked first, then cancelled, just in case. I want in writing what the better rate is before cancelling the higher rate. I have had no problem doing this.

As someone else stated, be sure you rebook first, then cancel. A few years ago I cancelled, and when I went back to book at the lower price, it wasn't there!!! A hard lesson to learn, and a mistake I will not make again.

Costco code 675899 and coupon off Mousesavers.

I have used Costco code many times, they never ask for card,which I have. It also give you a free second driver...

I try to get the cheaper price by modifying my existing reservation and most of the time it works....if not, then I book another reservation and cancel the first. But try modifying first, much easier!

I'm finding that the walmart general public code is giving me the same price as the costco code. Walmart code is 430710. I also was using the holiday coupon: ad1901njk (you need to find this and print because they WILL ask for the coupon). I had not heard anything about the insurance issue you mentioned. I just rented a car at WDW/MCO 3 weeks ago (National) and there were no changes mentioned. We have full coverage on our home vechicles so have full coverage. We do take our insurance doc. with us when renting just in case we are asked.

How do you use both codes?
When I use the coupon link, it automatically fills in the coupon code number. Where do you plug in the other code?

With Alamo, if you have a coupon you can't do online checkin. I've never seen long lines inside but many disers say Alamo's lines are the worst. I've only used them once at MCO and I was able to checkin online. It was really easy, just choose the car and drive up to the little exit booth to show DL and docs. I would do it again.
btw, I rebooked and cancelled about 12 times on our last trip. I just print out the cancellation page and save that with the original corresponding res. # just in case.
