as expected, the four park icons, loads and loads of cheapins. I mean a disgusting amount. lumiere and scar were found in abundance, TDS pins, 200 logo pins. other than that those cheap little thin aluminum weight silver outlined cheap pins. Sorry not much more to report this week. Next week should be better

Thank you Kath for the update...

guess I'm gonna hafta find an exciting way to say "same ole boring thing" :-0 Did see a few of Bug's Life pins as well.

It seemed to me that the nicest pins were available in the parks early in the morning. Epcot and MGM were at the definite bottom of the "must- look in" list! MK and AK had luckier CMs with more choices available for their lanyards. I am always an early bird, we are there when the parks open first thing in the morning.

Also, hunting down CMs in remote locations helped me find less common pins. You know, like the small carts and stores at the exit of less popular rides, etc. I saw some new bug's life, lots of sports Mickeys, resorts & parks, Aristocats, older racks, etc. I found several CM pins in the books, nothing too fancy, though.

At the end of the day, most CM lanyards had the flex, cheapest pins. We found altogether five CM or rare, older rack pins in the lanyards. Still, it helped me get rid of over 30 hideous pins that included German and other unpopular things I got when I first started collecting last year.

So, I was happy with what I got, under the circumstances. Now I have 38 newer, more handsome pins right out of the lanyards and books, and they're all keepers! It was such a blast to trade with CMs!

Wanda, I am laughing at your comment about "30 hideous pins." One pintrader's hideous pin is another pintrader's holy grail! While I was trying to complete my WDW POM set, a friend's teenage daughter graciously traded the July POM because she thought it "was ugly!" I had no problem trading for her ugly pin!

Hehehe Judith, I agree with you. I knew someone would speak up regarding my interpretation of "hideous" pins!

It is just that for almost a year, I had trouble trading my German Snow White's Happy pin and Jungle Book pins, several AK first year pins (you know, with the 5 animals logo that we have all memorized by now), the millennium dancers flex, and many others that nobody seemed to care for at all! It was frustrating to have those to show as traders rejected all the time!

So it was fun to trade them for more handsome, newer pins. They are so cute, I decided to keep them instead.
But, you are right! After placing some of my "monstrosities" in a book at the AK, I returned later to find they were gone, so someone liked them! I am sure they were glad that somebody wanted them too...
